🚗 The Lost Legacy of the Royal Scottish Automobile Club 🚗
In December 2002, I reflected on the closure of the Royal Scottish Automobile Club (RSAC) and the mysterious disappearance of valuable motoring memorabilia. Among the club’s treasures was a unique 1905 Rolls-Royce, bequeathed with the stipulation that it stay in Scotland. Sadly, it now languishes in Essex, awaiting restoration. As the RSAC’s assets were sold off, important parts of Scotland’s motoring heritage risk being lost to the public. The mystery deepens as legal avenues are explored to respect the wishes of the donor and safeguard this historic vehicle.
