A panorama from my veranda where I live. It is in the archipelago of Myken on the coast of Helgeland in Norway. We are 32km off the mainland, and 80 km north of the arctic circle. Myken consists of more than 90 islands and skerries, but only one of them is inhabited, and at the moment we are 9 permanent residents.
From here I can see more than 200km of the coastline, and things to make a note of are the Svartisen glacier and mountains like Rødøyløva (the red island lion), Hestmannen (the Horseman), Syv Søstre (seven sisters) and Dønnamannen (the man of Dønna)
