NEW OWNER AND PUBLISHER FOR ISLE MAGAZINE
After a successful collaboration in 2025, Isle magazine is entering an exciting new chapter as experienced editor Emma Dublin takes over as the new owner and publisher of the much-loved local title.
The magazine, created by Kiki Case with Simon Abra, was published in 2025 under a contract arrangement with Brightside Publications, publishers of the The Margate Mercury, The Ramsgate Recorder and The Broadstairs Beacon. Brightside’s Commercial Director Jen Brammer handled advertising and publishing, while Emma took the creative helm as editor - a partnership that was met with enthusiastic feedback from readers and advertisers alike.
Following that success, and with Brightside’s business focus evolving, Emma has now agreed with Simon and Kiki to take full ownership of Isle Magazine. Brightside will remain involved, continuing to manage advertising sales, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity for advertisers and readers.
“Editing Isle Magazine has been such a joy - I fell completely in love with the magazine and the community it serves,” said Emma. “When the opportunity came up to take it forward, I just couldn’t resist. I’m also thrilled that Jen and Brightside will remain a core part of the team, and am super grateful for the ongoing support of Simon and Kiki as we look to take Isle forward in 2026.”
“Isle Magazine has been going for 20 years and is an integral part of the life of Thanet, serving residents and visitors alike. We are delighted that Emma has decided to acquire the magazine and continue its legacy. Having worked with her on the 2025 edition, we are confident that the publication is in safe hands, and that Emma shares the production values that have made Isle an award-winning magazine,” say Kiki and Simon.
Brightside’s Jen Brammer added, “We’re so pleased to see Isle Magazine in such capable hands. Working with Emma has been a real pleasure, and we’re looking forward to continuing our involvement on the advertising front. The collaboration is working brilliantly, and we’re excited to see where she takes the magazine next.”
With the same friendly faces behind the scenes and plenty of new ideas brewing, it’s very much business as usual for Isle Magazine.
