No wins on the pitch - but a big victory for two brilliant causes 💪🏼

At the weekend, pbmedia took part in a charity football tournament in support of The Chestnut Appeal for Men’s Health and Devon Mind ⚽️

We didn’t quite make it out of the group stages (or win a single game, if we’re honest), but what we did do was raise awareness raise awareness for vital men’s and mental health support, enjoy some brilliant company, and be part of a fantastic community event.

Huge respect to the mighty Hornet Warriors: Paul Burton, Andy Pyle, Ben Stirling, Josh Stirling, Paul Bird, Gavin Jones, Nathan Counter, Robert Perry and Paul (and the mystery, well-timed, yellow jersey-wearing photo-bomber) - a solid team effort, even if we are still hobbling two days on… 🐝

Big thanks to the organisers, our fellow teams, and everyone who came along to support. We’ll be back - possibly after a bit more training and a longer warm-up next time...

This week, Jon and Joe headed off to London to team up with our friends at Fresh Air Studios Ltd on a top-secret project we’re absolutely not allowed to talk about (yes, we know - that's annoying, sorry) 🤫🤭

It’s not often we see these two on this side of the camera 🎥😄

Jon and Joe were out filming at the Devon Chamber of Commerce Business Awards on Friday while the rest of the team got to celebrate alongside some of our wonderful clients and friends! (Don't worry, they were more than adequately compensated with Dominoes pizza and brownies from Mila’s Bakery!)

When your strategy meeting ends with a sweaty stomp UP the valley... 🥵☀️

We wrapped up our session at Poole Farm (the local city farm) on Wednesday and took the scenic route back to the office - just 10 minutes away, but it felt like a full-on hike in that heat!

Worth it for the views (and the team bonding) 🌄

We're always a little apprehensive about doing April Fools for our clients. There’s been plenty of times in the past we’ve done it and it’s been TOO believable… and that creates a whole load of problems 😵‍💫

Or it turns out we’re not as funny as we think we are and it falls flat 🫥

But this year we nailed it for Mark Ormrod - who’s sparked a brilliant reaction with a post about an action toy in production, designed on Mark himself (ie a real life hero).

Credit Jon for the idea (and manipulation of a certain new AI tool 😏) and Vic for helping with the ex*****on. Engagement is off the charts!!
