Instagram’s been busy!👀

A new layout, new tools, clickable links in testing and (finally!) the ability to automatically welcome new followers🙌

But... It’s a lot. So let’s break it down:

1. The layout refresh✨
The app’s had a small but validating redesign. The plus sign to post content has moved to the top left and the Instagram logo now gives you three dropdown options when you tap it (your main feed, your favourites, and who you’re following). Your DMs are now front and centre at the bottom of the screen, fully backing that Instagram’s algorithm is prioritising messaging and relationships over random scrolling.

2. Manychat✨
You can now send an automatic DM to new followers (but not directly through Instagram). Thank them for joining, share a freebie, download or welcome message. This can be great for service-based businesses or creators who want to build relationships fast. (Just avoid turning it into a sales pitch, the goal is relationships, not sales!)

3. Features currently in testing✨
Clickable links inside reels have started rolling out, allowing creators to drive traffic directly from their video content. They are also testing a new trim tool for sharing reels, so you can have different previews on your Stories, AND... Am I the only one who noticed Adam Mosseri’s oversized carousel posts? We may be getting more than 20 which is wild!👀

All of these updates point to one thing. Instagram is still locking in on community-driven content. This means you need to be showing up where your audience talks, not just where they scroll.

Every platform has its own purpose:
✦ Instagram → connection and storytelling
✦ TikTok → reach and discovery
✦ Pinterest → evergreen visibility
✦ LinkedIn → authority and community

The trick is choosing the 1–2 platforms that fit your strengths and your audience.

👉 Easy to batch and repurpose
