Our weekly June classes start tonight 🎥✨

Actors’ will be working on scenes they have been specifically cast in before filming them in the final session at the end of the month.

We are busy prepping for the final block of this term which ends after July, and finalising events before the end of summer. We have a 3 hour Casting Director Workshop with Monday 11th August. There are spaces available, follow the link 🔗 in the bio for more information.

We officially hit our 1 year birthday! So here’s some of our biggest highlights. 🥳🥳🥳

Brilliant industry guests ranging from agents to film directors, casting directors & film and TV actors - who have dropped in to give feedback and provide insightful session takeovers. Big thanks to Joseph Mawle, , Adrian Rawlins, , .tiernan, from , , , , , Jordan Metcalfe, & .

A mini retreat - Deep Work - with the wise and wonderful , , , , Diane Haorang.

Teens for Screens working with to provide a safe environment for teenagers to work in front of the camera.

What began as an idea to set up a small scale acting class has become such a tight knit community with a growing awareness of how much talent there is in our region. And we are proud that is this being recognised. We firstly would not be operating without said talent, so those artists that drop in and return, thank you for your energy. We also could not have done this without the support of .

We are now into our third term, with some very exciting things in the pipeline. Our mission is simple, creating safe spaces to grow and connect. To set foundations that nurture and inspire grassroots projects. To create opportunities to perform and direct for screen. We’re in it together. 🙌

Big thank you to our guest facilitator Jordan Metcalfe who filled in for H on Screen Shakespeare this week. A brilliant presence and insight in the room. ❤️

Jordan is a well loved Hull actor who is notable for his work on Misfits, Pride, Fractured, Maddigan’s Quest. You’ll remember Jordan from his early years in The Queens Nose & My Parents are Aliens! 🎥👆

He’s also worked extensively in theatre at the RSC, The Globe, The National, The Lyric to name a few. ✨

Jane Anderson CDG has been casting for 10+ years. She has cast for BAFTA nominated and award winning productions. Notable credits include: The Whistleblower, Green Wing, Sherlock, Down Dog, Tess of D’Urbervilles…

She has been a jury member for the International Emmy Awards and Manchester Film Festival. 🎥

March’s Screen Shakespeare is now full, but we have some exciting Casting Director workshops for the remaining two weeks of term in April - stay tuned.

We are back for pt. 2 TEENS FOR SCREENS . We had such a blast last time, we decided to set up another two day workshop for teenagers looking to level up their screen skills.

Led by industry professionals and casting director observation - patron, Tara Mckeown - we will explore screen acting through confidence building exercises and games, scene study, character work, introduction to actor techniques and mindset. An opportunity to gain industry intel and prepare for self taping, auditioning and handling that pressure in a fun, safe and interactive space. Leave with your professionally filmed scene. Self-tape introduction and parental permission is essential to secure a spot.
