Where it all began - late '78, Martin's parents' kitchen table at 7 The Grove, Lincoln, rubber stamping the labels of 650 [?] copies of X-S-Energy's 'Eighteen' E.P.
Actually, this version wasn't on Dead Good [we re-released it as DEAD 1 in early 1979] - the label was 'World Records', formed especially for this release.
The record [with blank white labels] was pressed by Linguaphone in Slough, and the sleeves produced by a local printer in Lincoln [was it that little place on the first floor in Guildhall Street...not sure now?].
Martin [pictured third from left] was the drummer in X-S-Energy, and also played on their follow-up single 'Use You'/'Imaginary' [DEAD 3] later in '79.
