Thornbury Orchestra -
Is it time to dust off your violin or blow the cobwebs out of your trombone? Why not come and join Thornbury Orchestra. We meet in Alveston once a fortnight. It’s a friendly group playing a wide range of music from classical to contemporary. Our aims are to give the best performances we can whilst having fun. At present we have vacancies for trombones and in the string sections but please get in touch if you play something else – there may be depping opportunities or a waiting list. There are no auditions as we feel people are capable of understanding what is expected – grade 5 is a good starting point. Most importantly the orchestra encourages players to improve.
