Feeling well and truly festive! 🎀

I decided to do some warm up sketches from Pinterest references and absolutely fell in love with this one. The sketch felt so expressive and fun, and she looks so chic 😍

I decided to spend a little time working on it, playing around with different colourways. I love the top right the most, but the bottom left came close second!

I've filmed a few process reels too for you to enjoy, so I will share those soon ✨

Line art for a new character I've been working on! 🖤

I managed to spend some time sketching the other day, and even got as far as working on some line art for this character.

I'm not fully sure who she is yet. But so far her story is that she is a wandering witch with two little sidekicks (one who causes her a lot of trouble as you can see!)

Who knows what adventure she is on, or where she is going. But it was nice to create something a little magical, and I did manage to enjoy the process of getting lost in something again!

I started to add some colour but I've been struggling between colouring styles, I enjoy art with line art showing but have also created some with more blocky colours which look nice... so I'm feeling a bit stuck in where to go next.

I thought I'd share her as she is anyway, I hope you like her! 😁 I'd love some help with naming her, and also her little buddies, so feel free to comment ideas you have any ✨

They're here!! 🌷✨

I've just published the listings for my new floral sticker sheets 😍

There are 4 sheets in total with 3 colour variations and then a lovely pink set too. I've been absolutely loving using these in my bullet journal over the past few weeks!

Here’s a little peek into my world, at what’s been happening in my creative corner lately! ✨

🌷 I’ve been busy prepping, listing and trialling the new floral sticker sheets I sneaked in my stories, ready for their big debut!

🍄 My Etsy shop is getting a glow-up with a shiny new banner to welcome all of you lovely souls (and hopefully some wonderful new people)

😍 I’m also giving the listings some much-needed TLC. Better listing piccies, updated descriptions, and lots of lots of tweaks to make your browsing feel like a stroll through a magical market

🔮 I have a few new ideas brewing in the background, and can’t wait to see which ones end up being my next project

🎨 Next on my quest is to redecorate my new studio! I am (beyond) excited to transform this space into a cosy creative space

🌙 Also, a magical makeover is in the works. I’m working on a new look for the brand; logo, palette, etc. But I’m taking it slow to make sure it feels truly like me

🧜‍♀️ And lastly… a confession: I’ve had big FOMO seeing all the gorgeous creations! I decided to sit this one out to avoid creative burnout (last year took it out of me!), but it’s been so lovely seeing everyone else’s magical work 🌊

Eeeee it's new sketchbook time 🎨✨

I love adding cute stickers to the front of my sketchbooks, and I've just moved into a new one so that means it's new sticker time!

Here's a little sketch I created around this time last year, I can't quite believe that's how long it has been since I created this... which means that it's been almost a year since I have 'played' in my sketchbook 😶

The other day I saw the Mermay prompts go up for this year, I realised that apart from a few gifts, I haven't created any new illustrations since around September last year.

Lately, I’ve been struggling a lot with my art and social media, being mean to myself and feeling disheartened when a post doesn’t ‘perform’ well.

But I am starting to get little nudges to create again, seeing things that inspire me to pick up my paints and maybe give it a little go, or to do a few little sketches on my ipad.

Hopefully I'll be able to create something new for you soon 🤍 But in the meantime, here are some flower fairies 🌼

Eeee! You can now shop some of my card designs on the thortful website! 🌼

I’ve chosen 5 cards for February that I think will be perfect for Valentines Day, as well as some cute general ones for all occasions – hopefully there is a good selection to get started. I have 5 slots at first, but I will continue to update them and add more when I can 🥰

It's that time of year again for Art VS Artist!! ✨

My FAVE time of year not only to reflect on my artwork for the year, but also to find lots of amazing new artists (we love a community art challenge) 😍

I haven't created as many illustrations as I had hoped this year, but I am incredibly proud to have completed for the first time, a challenge I have wanted to do for so many years.

I've also seen a huge improvement in my art style and I feel like the area I have most improved in is colouring my artwork; using better palettes and also shading and colouring without linework in some work.

So here it is, my Art VS Artist for 2024! 🌷

Where has the time gone?! 😮

I haven't had a chance to do any drawings for a month or so as I've been working on a lot of window art over on my other account

BUT I was looking though my procreate WIPs and found some sketches of Morg that I did back in October. They are quite Autumnal so I probably won't finish them, but I thought I'd share them anyway because he cute 🐸

There was also a sketch I did for a Christmas card design that also never got finished 😅

This was going to be part of a Christmas card design but I have changed my mind so I've decided to share her as she is so she doesn't end up lost in the WIP folder 😅
