After owning this for many years, I've finally got around to buying a tape for it. I had forgotten how much faffing about there was in the early days of digital. I'm currently having to wait for the tape to format in real time before I can see if it still records and plays.

There's an interesting review here of the forthcoming retrospective of Dave Hilborne's early music. I was involved in recording much of it at Watershed in the 1990s and then remastered it for this release.

In memory of Dave Hilborne. All the material was recorded at Watershed in the 1990s and transferred from the original DATs. Dave was a regular visitor to the studio, both as a musician and later as a writer for various local publications and we would often spend time talking about the state of the music scene.

I've not shared much of the music that I've been creating with The Cutting Room on here recently. I'm hoping that we'll get a chance to put out something more finished in the next few months, but here's one of Tegan's songs that we played totally acoustically at Gallery No30 in Petersfield recently.

This was really interesting to work on. A very funky, brass heavy band with some of the tracks featuring Alex Harvey before he formed SAHB. There were even some 8 track one inch tapes in amongst all the quarter inch tapes. It is always interesting to hear how people used multitrack tape in the early days.
