Ever wondered what exactly makes a good pair of combat trousers? Over the years we've reviewed a whole range of trousers, from real-steel giants Crye Precision through to Arc'teryx, and from reproduction companies such as TMC and Semapo, with one goal in sight - finding the perfect pair of combat trousers for the skirmish field.

Well now, you can ignore anything we've said in the past and get the information directly from tactical gear mogul UF PRO, who've just put out a great infographic and blog on just what makes the perfect pair of combat trousers.

Do you agree with them? And if not, what do you think makes a great pair of trousers? Let us know!

Hey gang,

Just a quick one from us today. As you may have noticed, the Airsoft International website is currently down. Fear not, as we're just changing hosting providers, and as with all things tech, we're having some teething issues, and of course its on a Friday when all we want to do is clean our kit up for a weekend of skirmishing!

We're hoping to have the website up by the start of the new week, with CJ working on it over the weekend (pray for him sitting in front of his PC in this heat all weekend!)

For now, enjoy this pug looking a little beaten... its currently the same look CJ has on his face realising he won't be spending the weekend in a beer garden!

When it comes to our favourite camouflage, it is real hard to beat a classic in America's M81 Woodland. Over the years, a number of companies have offered products in the camouflage, but one standing out to us in this current moment in time comes from UK giants Arktis.

Featured in these images are a favourite for us in the C222 Ranger Trouser. Arktis has the following to say about the product -

"Special Edition C222 in our Mechanical Stretch Fabric, as used on our Contact range. Lighter than our standard ripstop and ready to flex with you, the Mechanical Stretch Nylon Cotton blend weighs only 185 gsm while boasting CORDURA® fibre ripstop and a native mechanical stretch. Lightweight, sturdy and comfortable with our usual DWR finish for water resistance and treatment for reduced NIR signature.

Our classic C222 Ranger Trousers, with all the features you know and expect. We've taken your feedback into account, tweaking and refining the design. Elasticity at the waist, knees, and crotch area allows for total ease of movement without any compromise to durability. The elasticity comes from a very strong four-way stretch fabric which has been extensively trialled. Durable flexi knee pads are included; however, you can remove these, and the trousers are compatible with most 3rd party pads (G3 & D30 pads will fit)."

Some incredible WWII photography from WWII by ImageworX!

In the sodden aftermath of their D-Day drop, the paratroopers of the 101st Airborne Division, joined by scattered units of the 82nd Airborne, press deeper into the Normandy bocage. The scene shifts to a field of high grass where a supply container, dropped earlier, rests amidst the tall blades. Paratroopers from Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, alongside the 501st, 502nd, and 327th Glider Infantry Regiments, work diligently to secure and fetch the container, their movements careful as rain drips from their helmets. Nearby, para engineers from the 101st are clearing mines from a dirt path and bringing them to explode, their faces set with grim determination, preparing for the German counterattacks looming at Purple Heart Lane, Hill 30, and Bloody Gulch. Misdropped troopers of the 82nd’s 507th and 508th PIRs join the effort, their exhaustion palpable under the grey, unrelenting sky. This moment captures the quiet courage and unyielding resolve of the liberators as they carve a path through the desolate, rain-soaked countryside toward the Battle of Carentan (June 8–13, 1944). Other images in the series depict soldiers moving through the dense bocage, navigating the towering hedgerows and sunken paths.

We remember them. Lest we forget.

In this issue of Airsoft International, we revisit a staff favourite in the Viper Tactical VX Plate Carrier Gen 2.

Over the past 15 years or so, plate carriers have become one of the most popular pieces of kit you’ll find in any gear locker the
world over. This also means that plate carriers have become extremely popular with manufacturers, making it a daunting and
arguably expensive process to choose the right carrier and accessories. In recent years homegrown manufacturers have become more and more popular within the cost conscious ccommunity, which has resulted in more affordable, good quality kit for the skirmish field.

The vest is designed to carry a variety of VX System and MOLLE compatible accessories. With quick-release buckles as well as multiple hook and loop panels, a fully adjustable mesh vented cummerbund and removable shoulder pads make this vest comfortable and easy to adjust to fit most sized players in terms of girth and height. The comfort is also extended to the inside of the vest, where pads help cushion the external weight.

New week, new meme! With the weekend well and truly over, and Monday blues hitting in, what better way to start the week with a funny... albiet somewhat of a topical funny!

One thing we've definitely noticed over the past 5 years is a step away from more 'gucci' products, with players instead opting to buy a range of cheaper products that simply do the job.

Where do you stand on this? Would you rather buy a handful of cheaper products, or invest in one big one? And would that one big purchase be night vision? Or would you simply spend it all on one big rifle purchase? Let us know!

We've been a little quiet over the last week, and for good reason too... we've been taking a little break! Quite often we find that while we love our industry, every now and then we need to just disconnect completely for the sport; and the magazine for that matter, and just head off somewhere.

With that out of the way, Volume 21 Issue 3 is out now!

For those of you who are already subscribers, you should now see the magazine at this link - https://www.ai-mag.com/online-ai-mags/

A rare double post when it comes to our daily social media output, but we feel its deserved.

Over the weekend, Andy Stevens, owner of UCAP airsoft sadly passed away after a 5-year battle with Motor Neurons Disease. Andy was a stalwart in the airsoft scene within the UK, being the driving force behind UCAP's success over more than a decade.

From all here at Airsoft International, we hope you rest in peace.

We all know that one person who wears a little too much airsoft gear in their social lives, or even their day-to-day work schedule!

Tag the person in your friends group who this applies too - for us, it would probably be owner Paul who thinks his Crye's are a fashion item 😅

Collaborations are by no means a new thing in the airsoft sphere. In fact, we've seen a number of them over the years... however, an AEG manufacturer collaborating with a streetwear brand certainly wasn't on our 2025 bingo card.

However, KWA look like they've been hard at work on something a little different in regard to collaborative projects of late... with a rather interesting rifle ready to hit the shelves in the FM03.

The FM03 is a collaborative project between KWA and streetwear brand Kaiju017, which we presume is somewhat inspired by the hit anime Kaiju NO.8.

While not for everyone, the rifle is definitely eye-catching, and by the looks of things will be available in three packages -

$499 – Base model cerakoted and designed by KAIJU
Perfect starting point. Run it stock or make it yours piece by piece.

$699 – Upgraded
Gate Titan 2 installed with a speed-tuned trigger straight out of the box.

$799 – Fully Built
All the upgrades plus a limited-edition cerakoted Acetech Bifrost tracer designed to match the FM03’s look.
