Following on from my previous post, can I highlight the Bandcamp app to those that might be unfamiliar with it.

You can stream everything you’ve bought on Bandcamp through the App. You can even make playlists from your collection now too.

I personally use it loads to listen to stuff. I like the fact I can listen to an album and when it’s finished there’s silence; not an endless playlist of tenuously linked ‘suggestion’ tracks.

Anyway our whole catalogue is on there (including stuff not available anywhere else).

Anything you’ve bought from our Bandcamp will be available for you to stream through the app already. But, in case you’ve not bought anything through there or need to set a new account up, I’m making the whole catalogue available at half price for the next month.

This is a short term offer to help ensure that you won’t have any disruption to your listening. It also helps the label as one sale would be more than is generated in a month across ALL streaming sites.

A warning to all that stream our catalogue across various platforms.

I have just received this warning email.

I don’t hold much hope of being found not guilty by Spotify’s kangaroo court. I am still waiting for an album they took down two years ago to be returned. That was another accusation of artificial streaming. Like this one the so called artificial streams are nothing to do with us. If they even exist.

What is likely to happen if this fine sticks is that the whole catalogue will be removed from all platforms and we will be at an end.

Eroding the majority of sales wasn’t enough, now they want to take the tiny revenue we get from streams too.

Is there any point anymore?

Really sorry that another week has gone by without the Buen Chico CDs arriving.

I was informed that they would be dispatched on Wednesday but I’ve had no response from the company since then.

This is by far and away the worst experience in getting anything pressed up in 18 years. As a consequence, as things stand it will be the last physical release on the label.

I’m losing faith that I’ll actually receive the CDs. If I don’t hear anything by Wednesday next week, I will have to refund you. You’ve bought in good faith and we haven’t delivered. If they do subsequently turn up, I will of course send you a CD.

Apologies to all those patiently waiting for their Buen Chico CDs. Unfortunately I am STILL waiting for them to arrive. I am told they will arrive next week (but then again they said that last week). Hopefully they will be worth the wait when they do arrive.
