Arthur Fleischmann, a qualified doctor, was also an established artist in the mid-1900s. His work was commissioned for the Brussels World Exhibition in 1958 and the Festival of Britain. His son Dominique discusses his career with sculpture expert Joanna Barnes in an event hosted by The Wiener Holocaust Library and Insiders Outsiders Festival.

Their journey turns bleak when they're sent to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, where Lantos's father is murdered. 🕯️TOMORROW: Hear Dalya Wittenberg from Generation 2 Generation discuss her grandparents, Cilla and Yaakov Rotblat, in an online talk to mark Holocaust Memorial Day (7pm). Cilla and Yaakov were just 18 when World War II broke out. They were advised to flee towards Russia and, on their return, were taken to a displaced persons camp in Austria before eventually settling in Israel.

Anita Peleg, lecturer and co-founder of Holocaust charity Generation 2 Generation, tells the inspiring life story of her mother, sculptor Naomi Blake. Influenced by her experience in Auschwitz and the loss of many family members, Blake used her art to keep alive the legacy of the Jews who were slaughtered and to promote her vision for a more tolerant society.

💫 Two resin-bronze feet are the focal point of British Jewish artist David Breuer Weil's new installation Visitor V, located opposite The Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane. The sculpture explores the theme of outsiders, representing a person having arrived from a distant land and culture.
