On Not The One, the debut EP from Tiece & The Pieces, sonic worlds collide in a rich tapestry of neo-soul, trip-hop, and electric blues.
Across five original tracks—"Not the One," "House," "Seasons II," "Water," and "Atoms II"—the band weaves cinematic textures with haunting affection.
From the first note, a saxophone dances through a rocky groove, pushed forward by the bite of electric guitar, both immediate and immersive. Hypnotic, trip-hop-infused drums ground the soundscape, while a warm, electric bass pulses with sultry, neo-soul swagger.
Floating above it all, the Rhodes keys drip with charisma, casting subtle harmonies that drift like smoke.
At the center is Tiece’s unmistakable voice—smoky, layered, and utterly magnetic. Her jazz-inflected phrasing and soulful harmonies create a sense of self-duet, pulling the listener deeper into her emotional orbit with each line. It's the kind of vocal that doesn’t just tell a story—it haunts it.
