✨ “I am almost inclined to set it up as a canon that a children’s story which is enjoyed only by children is a bad children’s story. The good ones last.”
– C.S. Lewis, The Reading Life 📚🌿

Some stories just stay with you forever, don’t they? The books I read growing up definitely made my imagination bloom! They filled my mind with forests, rivers, mountains, and magical gardens, and they made me fall in love with nature and being outdoors even more! I could see the beauty of the wild so vividly that I wanted to step right into the pages, following the characters on their adventures through fields, woods, and far-off lands. 😍

It’s funny how the best childhood books never really leave us. I love that even now they are ready to whisk us away into wonder whenever we open the cover.

I’d love to know… what are some of your favourite books from your childhood that you still love today? 💖📖

A few of mine are the Beatrix Potter books, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Harry Potter! I’m currently re-reading the Harry Potter books, I actually found the home video, from when I was 10, where I received the first 4 books for Christmas, I was so excited! 😂❤️

Not related, but please enjoy this photo of a cat I named Daffodil Cat because the first time I saw her, she was sitting amongst daffodils. 😻💛🌼

Here’s a little snippet taken from ‘Autumn’ inside my workbook:

“Autumn reminds us why change can be necessary and healthy. Just as the trees let go of their leaves for a long winter’s rest, to enable them to survive, thrive, and gain strength by preserving energy for the seasons to come, it also allows room for new growth, so they can flourish in the coming year and beyond. Plus, their fallen leaves help to add nutrients to the soil. Seeds are also dispersed, ensuring the next generation of trees are firmly planted. Sometimes, in order to see growth, we must let go of what no longer serves us. This can help to bring new beginnings and opportunities, expansion, and firm foundations for years to come.” 🍂

I do love a good cheesy nature analogy… but this one really made me pause and reflect on my business recently…

We’ve felt so blessed with all the new growth in the garden this year. Spring brought a beautiful variety of flowers, and summer has continued to bloom in abundance. But for those new blooms to really thrive, the garden needed a bit of tending, nurturing, and gentle pruning. 🌸

It’s felt much the same in my business. I’ve been quietly working behind the scenes… which is why I haven’t been very present on here lately! 🙈 I get excited when I’m creating something new, and before I know it, time has slipped by and things have gone a little quiet elsewhere! But it’s also given me time to step back, recharge, and reflect on how I want to show up and share moving forward.

I’ve been working on something new (actually, a couple of things) and while there’s no set timeline just yet, they’re gently taking shape, and I’ll be sharing more very soon. I’m really excited about what’s unfolding.

Behind the scenes, I’ve been tending, nurturing, and doing a little pruning too, making space for fresh ideas to take root and rise. You might even notice a few little hints in the words I’ve used here! 🌻

This season has given me time to reflect on what truly feels aligned with my values. I’ve been simplifying, letting go of what feels complicated, and leaning more into what feels good, and feels more me. Just because something worked well in the past doesn’t mean it’s still the right fit now, and that realisation has opened the door to new visions, fresh creativity, and exciting opportunities. 😊

I just wanted to share this with you, and as a gentle reminder, that new growth often needs space to take root and rise. 🌱

I was inspired to write this post while reading A Year of Living Simply by Kate Humble. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it! I really enjoyed how Kate shares her simple pleasures throughout the book… it made me realise I have so many of my own, too! Living more simply is something I really enjoy weaving into my daily life, and I love finding gentle ways to make more room for those small moments of calm and joy each day. 🥰

Sometimes, all we need is a quiet space to be heard, supported, and gently guided. 🥰

I had the absolute pleasure of working with a lovely client who booked my Tend & Nurture: Coffee & Chat offering. We spent a wonderful day together, chatting and exploring topics like marketing, blogging, Substack, and lots more.

Although I love all of my offerings A LOT, this one holds an extra special place in my heart.

I know how powerful it can be to have someone gently listen, brainstorm with you, bounce around ideas, or simply be there, like chatting with a friend. That’s exactly what inspired this offering. 💛

If you’d love a slow, intentional day to explore your digital marketing journey together, this might be for you! 😊

✨ What’s included:

💬 A full day of WhatsApp support – text or voice note, at your pace

🌸 Thoughtful, one-to-one space just for you

🌱 Brainstorming, feedback, gentle guidance

✍🏻 Follow-up summary of our chat and any further suggestions

🌿 A relaxed rhythm that fits around your day

My Tend & Nurture offering is just £79!

You don’t need to be tied to a desk or arrive with a plan… just come as you are, and we’ll slowly tend to what’s been on your mind and gently nurture your next steps. 🌸

When it comes to reading, I really enjoy a mix of genres. I definitely have a soft spot for a good cheesy romance too! Books bring me so much joy, whether it’s finding inspiration, learning something new, winding down with a comforting story, or escaping into magical worlds.

Although, I often go through phases where I read several books in a row, then don’t read much for a while, and then start again. Does anyone else do that too? 😅

I thought it would be fun to share all the books that I’ve read (and loved) so far this year. You can read it here:

I wanted to share a little thought that’s been on my mind lately… one I think makes for a great bit of encouragement to start the week. It’s also actually one of the reasons why I was inspired to create the Small Business May Challenge last month.

Something I often pause on is when I see advice basically suggesting you don’t need to engage with others to grow your platform (I’ve seen this a lot!). While perhaps that can be true, I can’t help but feel that engagement is one of the most meaningful parts of being here.

As small business owners, we know just how much a lovely comment, kind encouragement, and shared support can mean. Not just for growth, but for community. 🌱

Engaging with others isn’t just a strategy, it’s a way to uplift fellow creatives, find like-minded souls and kindred spirits, and maybe even build lasting friendships along the way. And to me, that’s definitely worth showing up for. 🌸

The good news is engagement doesn’t need to be complicated or time-consuming. Even five or ten minutes can make a difference. So below I’ve listed a few simple things that you can do to connect with others, and all it takes is a few seconds, or a couple of minutes:

♡ Take a moment to engage with content from those you already follow

♡ Share a favourite post in your stories

♡ Leave a kind comment about what you loved or why something resonated

♡ Send a thoughtful message just to say “I see you”

♡ Follow someone new whose work really speaks to you

♡ Save a post that inspired you (it quietly supports the creator)

♡ Reply to someone’s newsletter or email with a kind word or reflection

Has someone’s small act of kindness brightened your day recently?
