Christmas season is in full swing. Last night I was at The Grand Hotel while DJ Sarah B handled the karaoke and Christmas party duties at Glass House for The Chick Box/Chickboxing ladies.

Today I’m back-to-backing it with Bottomless Brunch at The View Hotel followed by another night at The Grand!

No let up tomorrow for this pentegenarian however, with a 13th birthday for Tamsin in Winchelsea followed by the very special Bluebell Roots Christmas event.

What are you up to on New Year’s Eve?

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be joining the crew at The Temple Club in Eastbourne to dance in to 2026 with their Silent Disco. I’ll be on the green channel with all your favourite Pop party floor-fillers with chart bangers classic and current, sexy RnB grooves, some pop cheese and even some Disney fave singalongs squeezed in.

However, I’ll be up against strong competition from DJs Fletch smashing out the Alternative stuff on the red channel - Indie, Rock, Emo & Pop Punk - and Stefan handling all the Club styles on the blue with House, DnB, Garage and other Dance hits. Not gonna lie, I fully intend to steal bits of their genres for my set where it fits in - Pop is pop, right, whatever the genre? 😝 Might even break into the Pink Povey Club crate for a few.

It’s going to be a brilliant night and a first for me in this format so I’m hugely excited for it! Tickets start at £7.50 including bubbly on arrival and drinks deals for early birds. VIP packages will see you treated like Royalty (and I don’t mean banished to America, or ostracised by your Dad!) and we play until 4am!

As a DJ I'm inspired by many things. Recorded music is one, of course, with influences throughout my life - from my Dad's 45s to brand new digital releases. Other DJs and their selections, particularly on radio, are a constant source of new ideas. But consistently, since I was old enough to go to gigs, live music has been right up there for me as one of the main inspirations - I’m a wannabe performer maybe, but without the chops to make it in a live scenario. Last night the muse came from a mighty performance bysabres.of.paradise - live on the last night of their tour, at Concorde 2, a venue where I've enjoyed live music and DJ sets since it was just The Concorde, in the late 80s, in its previous home over the entrance to the Aquarium opposite Brighton's Palace Pier. In a 'full circle' moment, touring drummer and percussionist for the Sabres is Rich, drummer from RED SNAPPER who I saw way back then, at both Concordes at one time or another, and who I also saw a week or so back, posting about my love for them here too.

I spent a very happy weekend hosting and announcing for the Beachy Head Marathon - it’s a joy to work with all the teams involved:

Sport Systems Limited administer the race entry system and provide race numbers and timing chips and and responsible for feeding info to me for announcements and keeping me up to date with race developments from their data and staff at checkpoints, and so I can announce runners over the line as they return.

Elite Medical and Ambulance Services Ltd provide the on site first responders to support athletes and spectators.

Visit Eastbourne organise the on-site infrastructure South Downs National Park band of hardy volunteer marshals out on the course in the South Downs National Park and at the finish line looking after runners who left it all out on the course!

But mostly, it’s a privilege to meet and chat to the runners themselves who take part for such a huge variety of reasons. I’ll be sharing some stories …
