“Circling Further Down” was born from the collaboration of Simone Calvo (guitar), Luca Mauro (bass), and Mattia Fenoglio (drums), young musicians eager to give voice to their creativity and express themselves through their music.

The sound is rooted in the New York noise rock scene (Unsane, Jesus Lizard, Helmet, Melvins), while the lyrics reflect the emotions, struggles, and experiences of young musicians in provincial Italy: hard work, exhausting shifts, cultural isolation, and the lack of spaces for artistic expression.

Originally released on November 6th, 2014, and co-produced by several Italian labels, the album was followed by a tour of around 100 shows across the country.

In 2024, for its tenth anniversary, the band – now featuring Enrico Reineri on drums and Francesco Martinat on bass – decided to rework the original tracks to make them sound as they had originally envisioned. This resulted in a fully remixed and remastered edition, with a more mature sound reflecting the band’s growth and evolving tastes over the years.

Traditional metal stalwarts Sulphur and Mercury announce the release of their brand-new single “Summon the Seer”.

Marking the beginning of a new chapter for the band, the track presents a revitalised line-up and a sound that carries their brooding heavy metal vision into fresh territory. As time-travellers from 1987... SULPHUR AND MERCURY have arrived.

Born in the Cerverteri Necropolis under the blood moon of the Italian summer solstice, SULPHUR AND MERCURY forge haunted dirges of occultic heavy metal from the fires of its glorious past. Elements of Frostian apocalyptic doom are summoned and collide with the melodic instincts of the NWOBHM, manifesting caustic anthems to the arcane arts.

The group came together in 2021, when guitarist Francesco Conte and vocalist Jason Netherton bonded over their shared affinity for the darker incantations of 1980s heavy metal, along the lines of Mercyful Fate, Celtic Frost, Satan and Sabbat (UK). The pair were later joined by drummer Dario Casabona and bassist Marco Mastrobuono, after which they commenced to songwriting and then recording in 2022. Like soothsayers channelling the spirit of ‘87 (a year pivotal for both Conte and Netherton in their metal edification), the band explicitly invoke the ghosts of metal’s past, in order to hammer it into a distinctly modern vision.

The outcome is the 6 track EP "Alchemia Prophetica". Featuring 4 original songs and a cover of Satan's demo-era anthem "Heads Will Roll", the EP stands as an ode to the glory of heavy metal’s yesteryear in the form of haunting anthems to the unknown and otherworldly.

Following its release, the group relocated to Finland, carrying their arcane craft to new northern frontiers. With vocalist Jason Netherton long established in Helsinki and guitarist Francesco Conte now permanently based there, the band’s line-up has become predominantly Finnish, marking the beginning of a new chapter in its esoteric journey.

Colombian black/death/grind force FLAGELO will see their ferocious debut EP “Insaciable” released worldwide on October 31st, 2025, through Nuclear Winter Records (CD and LP) and Night Terrors Records (MC).

Originally self-released by the band earlier this year, the record quickly carved its place as a raw and unrelenting slab of extreme metal. With its suffocating mix of grinding speed, cavernous doom and blackened atmosphere, “Insaciable” captures the essence of FLAGELO’s vision: primitive yet inventive, violent yet textured. Now given a full-scale release, the EP promises to drag a wider audience into the group’s vortex of visceral aggression, menacing soundscapes, and apocalyptic rage.

Lugubrious Garment emerges as the latest creation of Milan-based multi-instrumentalist and relentless sound explorer Gabriele Gramaglia (Cosmic Putrefaction, Vertebra Atlantis, Turris Eburnea, among others). Conceived in the spring of 2025, the project was born out of an urge to channel a more brutal, ravenous instinct compared to Gramaglia’s other ventures, giving shape to a merciless yet dynamic form of extreme metal.

The first demo, set for release on October 31st, 2025 via Nuclear Winter Records, consists of three tracks forged in a gritty, thick production entirely handled by Gramaglia himself. Across its span, the recording showcases fast, annihilating death metal infused with the raw energy of black and speed metal, a sonic onslaught that balances resolute aggression with moments of unsettling variation.

Adding further intensity to the project, session drummer Claudio Invidia (Defacement, Devoid of Thought) contributes relentless percussion, underpinning a surge of scorching riffs, despairing screams and merciless rhythmic assaults. The result is a wall of sound that makes no compromises, embodying Gramaglia’s vision of feral, unchained heaviness.

From the depths of Brussels’ death metal underground rises Abysmal Descent, a new entity forged from the ashes of Dehuman and strengthened by the twisted visions of R.S., L.L. (Putrid Offal, Echo Solar Void, Terrifiant) and M.D. (Echo Solar Void). Soon joined by R.M. (Neptunian Maximalism) and A.L. (Saqra’s Cult), the band completed a sinister line-up dedicated to conjuring a harrowing requiem of death metal.

Their debut full-length, "Dismal Thoughts", will be released via Nuclear Winter Records on October 31st, 2025 - a suitably unholy date for this descent into sonic darkness. Drawing inspiration from legendary forces such as Immolation, Morbid Angel, and Incantation, the album weaves a tapestry of gloom and malevolence, crushing riffs and abyssal atmospheres.

Opening the concept album Chronicles of Despair, Flask N’ Bone tells the downward spiral of a corrupt lawyer, a symbol of power wielded without justice or ethics. The turning point comes with the su***de of a mother to whom he denied custody of her child and any means of support, marking the beginning of an emotional collapse where guilt becomes overwhelming.
