It is with a heavy heart that we announce the very sad passing of our beloved Geoff Betsworth. During his time on the station, Geoff became a very good friend of his fellow colleagues and his loyal listener family. He will always be a part of the CountryRadio.uk family and will be forever missed by us all. R.I.P. LEGEND 🖤

Join me this Thursday for ‘The Last Hurrah’ from the Ali Clark Show 🥲🥲
Devastated the station is closing due to circumstances completely out of Producer Matts control.
I have had 5.5 years of absolute joy doing not only my shows but mine & Matts co Host shows.
5.5 years of Love, Fun, Laughter & tears.
I have had the honour of meeting the most incredible people from all over the world. I have made some special lifelong friends and it hasn’t quite sunk in yet that it’s almost over.
Thank you to Matt for believing in me, my lovely co presenters who have become my friends.
And finally a huge thank you to you guys, our listeners who rock up week after week to listen to my waffle, join in with the chat, insult me 😂 and just come along for the erratic ride I take you on 😂💖💖💖💖💖💙💙💙💙💙💙. I will be there on Thursday with my Wine ready!
I will be raising a glass also to our much loved Geoff & Malcolm who we sadly lost this year. They were a huge part of my journey.
Always in my Heart 💜 💙💖 it’s been a blast!!

To round out a hugely successful year, we’re delighted to announce new music in time for Christmas, a cover of the legendary song ‘The Sound of Silence’, aiming to raise awareness for su***de prevention.

Our new single, originally written by Paul Simon and recorded by Simon & Garfunkel, is being released to promote su***de awareness in conjunction with Papyrus UK. Having been touched by the stories of several friends who have been impacted by su***de in recent years, we felt we might be able to help promote awareness of the support available to people affected, especially as the festive season approaches. This new release hopes to do just that.

The single, which is completely self-produced at our own studio in Newmarket, lends our trademark harmonies to the song, alongside a suite of acoustic instruments, paying homage to the mood of the original recording. We hope it can bring some help and comfort to anyone who hears it, no matter what circumstances they find themselves in.

‘The Sound of Silence’ is available to pre-order from today and will be released on Friday December 6th on all major platforms. While all profits from the single will go to Papyrus UK, it is hoped that an increased awareness of the help available to those who might need it will be the major impact of our latest release.

We had the best evening listening to the glorious Tennessee Twin what an evening! Amazing music and vocals! Stunning setting. What a day yesterday! We had the pleasure of playing two gigs - a lovely wedding in the sunshine during the day, then a sold-out evening performance in the most gorgeous church, with a simply wonderful audience!
