Anyone that knows me, knows that Millie was quite honestly my best friend and family. The first face I saw every morning, the last one before bed, first to greet me home and the last to see me out. Always by my side, bringing me more happiness I could ever ask for.
She never barked, never got angry- just wanted to be near you. Pure love in its calmest, quietest form. If I was ever having a bad day, knowing I was going back to her made everything better.
She even gave that same love to others as a therapy dog, bringing comfort to people when they needed it most. That was just who she was- kind, gentle, and endlessly loyal.
Powered through many illnesses including a stroke where she had to learn to walk again. But she did it and I will always be grateful.
They say a dog is man’s best friend, I got to live that truth every day since I was 12.
Dogs are just a part of our lives, but to them we’re all of it and I know she had the best life. 17 years, 7 months and 5 days to be exact.
There’ll never be another Millie. 🤍 🐾
