Behind the decks at the 2026 Grad Ball! 🎓
We meet a lot of people who think we just “press play” and let the rest take care of itself. But what you see on the dancefloor is only a small part of what’s happening behind the decks.
Keeping music and lighting in perfect harmony for hours takes a lot more than pressing play. This is just a sneak peek at 10% of what goes on while you’re throwing some shapes! 💃
We offer an open-format DJ service, meaning we adapt in real time to the audience rather than sticking to a fixed genre or playlist. Alongside mixing, Izaac is reading the crowd, taking requests, reorganising playlists, cueing songs and making announcements when needed.
And the lighting is just as important. Rather than cheap automatic disco lights, we use professional moving beam, spot and wash fixtures, plus lasers and strobes — all used deliberately to complement the music. Our lighting operator Summer is perfectly in sync with the DJ to create the right atmosphere and maximum impact at the right moments.
