Hello Again!

Another and perhaps final update in the journey of Signal Dark!

The film has finally finished it's festival run this month - (a little earlier than expected) and managed to pick up some accolades!

Selected for multiple prestigious festivals such as Rhode Island International and LA Shorts!

We were also nominated for best Sci-Fi at Shockfest, A finalist at BRIGHT and Winner for Best Direction at the LA Fantasy & Sci-Fi Film and Screenplay festival!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in the production who worked their sweet behinds off to get this done,
you will never be forgotten. I'd also like to say a Special thanks to my Brother Max who we both know did a lot of the heavy lifting on this project.

I'd also like to thank the people who supported us with their donations in Pre-production. It would have been impossible to make the film without your help - please feel free to message me to sort out your personal links :D

Hello!

Apologies for the long hiatus in Signal Dark information,

Once again it has been a while since we last updated you on what has been happening and what we hope for the future.

The film started its festival run early this year and has been selected for multiple screenings, as well as garnering a Finalist position in the Bright Film festival and a win for Best Direction at the LA Fantasy & Sci-Fi Film and Screenplay festival!

We also managed to get selected for the prestigious LA shorts and Rhode Island Film festivals which will mean we are eligible for BAFTA!

Though the film won’t be available for general viewing until March next year please enjoy some stills from the final Film below.

Hello again everyone!

It has been a while and thought I would once again give you another Signal Dark update for the New Year!

While the team have been busying away with the Edit, VFX and Sound design,
our Colourist has managed to put together some grade tests for the short.

Everything is very early days yet and nothing is has been signed off, but thought I'd give everyone
a sneak preview of what we hope the film will look like and what kind of mood/style we're going for.

I hope to update you with more stills at a later date - but in the mean time please enjoy!

SIGNAL DARK

Hey everyone!

So our last post was in April and a lot has happened since then.

Unfortunately we didn't get the funding from BFI, though we were told our application was very impressive :D

Although this was a knockback we decided to forge ahead with a smaller budget.
On the 8th of August we began filming the offical Signal Dark Short.

With the budget we managed to hire two professional actors, gather a small crew and book the locations needed to create
something we are really happy with.

The project is a super ambitious piece, with heavy VFX and Post Production work still to come from myself and Max.
But we have laid the foundations in some spectacular footage shot by our DoP Robert Langley
and achieved with a great performance from our lead actor Greg Burns.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved, from our Crowd-funding partners - (You have not been forgotten!)
to the Production Crew who really put everything into the four days of filming. You know who you are. ;)

Though there is some footage still to be captured, We will update the page with some production stills from our work so far.

Hey everyone!

Sorry it has been a while since our last post - we have been busy seeking further funding from the BFI to get our short film - "Signal Dark" off the ground.

The good news is, to convince them of what we are capable of we had to prove to them we could achieve the more complex shots from the film. So we went out and did just that.

Essentially it is A short film of THE short film.

With any luck with THE short film we could even take it a step further!

Good Afternoon Everyone!

This post is to let you everyone know that while Signal Dark has been quiet in recent months.

The project has been simmering away on the stove of Pre-production. After managing to raise some funds from Livetree, we realised that to achieve what we really wanted we'd need to raise even more.

To do so, we plan to apply for funding from the BFI and to do that, we decided we needed to prove that our ambition did not exceed our reach.

In other words, we went out and started shooting what would become the ultimate and most technically challenging scene in the script to show what we could do without any budget.

Though work is continuning, we plan to have the Mini-Short of Signal Dark completed by early February.

In the coming days we will be uploading some snippets of the final film, but in the mean time please enjoy the below stills from our mini production.

To all those who have contributed to the project so far thanks for your continued patience and support in helping us achieve our dream and if you wait just a little longer we can reward you as promised.

This post is to let you know we have now received the funding we made on LiveTree in November/December. Even though we didn't receive all of funding we wanted, we're still going ahead with the project.

We're getting down to finalising the script now and beginning to think about confirming crew members.
