🚀 You’ve no doubt seen rocket launches, but what happens once it gets up there and delivers the satellite to orbit?
Well there’s a whole team here who now have to find it, communicate with it, and get it ready for science.

I got to spend two days with the wonderful team at the European Space Operations Centre in Darmstadt, Germany, who showed me what it takes to be part of the Launch and Early Operations phase of a satellite’s mission.

I spy the moon and nebulae!

I was taking the advantage of a rare clear sky to use my telescope, and just as I was packing up to go to bed, the moon popped out all big and orange from behind a pylon!
