hello friends, it's been a while! we think about you, placeholder, and everything we were lucky enough to publish often and with so much love. today felt like an appropriate time to say hi again.
a big part of loving something is acting like it and treating it with kindness. we want to make sure we're doing that with the work we published while we were active.
we've remade our website, aiming for it to be simple, accessible, and easy/affordable to host indefinitely (after losing a few websites over the last five years) to be the best home for our publications we can.
the past issues of our magazine are available to download for free - not the pay what you want store we used to have with multiple steps to get it for free, but a button you click once and takes you straight to the pdf - so now would be a great time to revisit them or read anything you missed the first time round!
we might make a few more changes over the next few weeks, like possibly including more photos, maybe detailing our events more, and there's a couple of pieces we're hunting through the backups to find better versions of because we lost the originals when we lost our email accounts, but that just means it's a living document that we can change if anyone has any improvements to suggest.
we talk about coming back to placeholder a lot, and it's still a dream, but our lives have changed so much and we'd need to make it something we could do well, with the passion and certainty it deserves. it's something we're hopeful might be possible at some point in the future, but it would have to be in a different form - right now, the best thing we can do is work within our ability and show the appropriate devotion to what we've done already, rather than rush into something big and new then risk hitting hiatus again. the best thing we can do is hold a place for you.
