going through the archives, thought I'd share some old pieces - here's the page I shared with my old boss to get time off to work on the first issue and hold a launch event, which made him tear up and reconsider the fact he didn't consider himself a poetry person.

Free writer support sessions!

Placeholder Phase 2 is happening, with a renewed focus on building and supporting community. We’re going to be starting small and building up - trying new things, seeing what people like best and find the most helpful, then letting that shape what we do next. Today we’re announcing our first new experiment as part of this plan: ‘A Place Held For You’

‘A Place Held For You’ is a simple idea, but hopefully a helpful one - free one-to-one chats with one of the Placeholder editors, to use for whatever you need.

Need notes on a work in progress? Want to chat about where you’re stuck with a project, or your practice as a whole? After advice on submitting or self publishing? Been stuck in your own head for a while and could do with bouncing ideas off someone else? What the sessions are for is entirely up to whoever’s booked in.

For this first trial run, we’re offering 45 minute sessions on:
Saturday 29th March - 2pm & 3pm
Saturday 30th March - 11am & 12pm
Tuesday 1st April - 12pm & 2pm
Thursday 3rd April - 1pm & 4pm

AN ANTIDOTE TO PERFECTIONISM is live online now!!

featuring writing & art from .ash .girl.1995 .bryony ._ &

what started as an impulsive note to self became a collective drive to create and share new work, then ended up as Placeholder's first publication since our hiatus ❤️

a physical zine version is coming this weekend too, but in the spirit of making cool stuff quickly and imperfectly, the online issue is ready now so it's launching now! enjoy!!

at the end of the issue we share a few reflections and plans for coming back from hiatus, which I'm super excited about and would love to hear people's thoughts on
