The fun of creating something new is that it's all about adapting as you go! We've made a change to our puzzle game, swapping the garlic bulb for a detailed raised garden bed.

The original plan for a garlic bulb was charming, but it was tough to see what it was once filled with all the little green pieces.

So, we decided to adapt and go with something even cooler: a tiny, detailed raised garden bed, complete with its own laser-cut fence! We're pretty proud of how clear and impressive the new design is, especially since it was cut with a 22W laser spot.

And that's not all! We're also making it easier to play by adding an NFC tog allowing people to tap and play with a phone.

Today was all about pushing our acrylic sign-making skills with the Creality Falcon2 Pro 22W! We had a vision for a unique gilding effect using a single sheet of purple Creality Acrylic and a can of Halfords metallic silver spray paint.

To make sure we didn't waste time on white space, we broke the design into smaller portions and used an inset fill on the circle borders.

With the leftover acrylic, we ran a few tests to see how different speeds affected the engrave depth by making some NFC discs. The results were super helpful: The excess paint on the disc was our fault for over-spaying and peeling off the backing paper to soon.

4000 mm/min at 80% power gave us a light, frosted engrave.
2000 mm/min at 80% power provided a slightly deeper, yet still nicely frosted, finish.
1000 mm/min at 80% power created a great depth, though we noticed some marking left on the bottom of the acrylic.

We're really happy with how these tests turned out and are excited to use what we've learned on our next project!

With the sun of summer high above us and our event calendar filling up fast, our little studio has been a hive of activity.

Our creative demands have grown, and while our trusty and portable Creality Falcon A1 is perfect for personalising gifts at the events, we realised we needed a machine with more muscle and a larger workspace for bigger promotional items and intricate signs.

When you need flawless engraving every single time, what machine do you go for? 🎯 Today, we've been busy with the powerful Toocaa L2 20W diode laser engraver to create some beautiful slate and wooden coasters.

We started with the slate, and our settings gave us a crisp, clean engraving on the first try! ✨

Slate Settings: 30% power, 3000mm/min speed (Took just under 9 minutes per coaster)

Next, we moved on to the wood coasters. We kept the same settings as the slate, and while the engraving was lovely and dark, it left a lot of messy residue to clean up.

So, we sped things up a bit to get a cleaner finish. The result was a nice rustic look with no residue, but we wanted a little more depth.

After a bit more testing, we finally found our sweet spot for the wood. The perfect balance of power and speed to get that beautiful dark tone without the mess!

Final Wood Settings: 30% power, 3500mm/min speed

Get ready, Garlic Festival! 🧄 We've been hard at work creating a fun, interactive game for our stand using the incredible Falcon2 Pro 20W!

We're calling it the 'Golden Coin Hunt.' It's simple and everyone's a winner! Come to our booth, pull a garlic bulb from our special board, and if you find the golden one, you'll win a limited-edition golden coin, polished and perfected on our Infrared laser engraver.

And because we believe there are no losers, anyone who pulls a white bulb still walks away with one of our awesome mini key rings.

Right now, we're painting and putting the finishing touches on the game board and giving those golden coins their final shine.
