Apostle Kawinga’s Charity Work Wins Praise as He Expands Food and Farming Support
Apostle Clifford Kawinga, founder of Salvation for All Ministries International (SFAMI) and owner of Creck Football Club, is earning widespread praise for his continued humanitarian efforts that are transforming lives across Malawi.
For years, Apostle Kawinga has been reaching out to vulnerable families with food assistance during difficult times — including the COVID-19 pandemic, Cyclone Freddy, and the annual lean seasons.
He says the support is a way of sharing the love of Christ while complementing government efforts to fight hunger.
Beginning at the end of November, he will roll out his annual maize and food distribution program, which will run through February and benefit communities in several districts nationwide.
Beyond food relief, Apostle Kawinga is promoting long-term empowerment through the Hope Field Initiative, a programme that supports farmers with fertilizer, seeds, solar pumps, and farming tools.
The initiative currently operates in Machinga, Chiradzulu, and Thyolo Districts, reaching thousands of households.
In Machinga, seven farmers’ clubs have been formed under Paramount Chief Kawinga, while Chiradzulu has four under T/A Nkalo, T/A Mpunga, and STA Maoni.
In Thyolo, two clubs under Senior Chief Nkhwethemule and Senior Chief Mphuka are benefiting around 4,000 households.
Each club has received maize for casual workers, hoes, fertilizer, and solar pumps to improve productivity.
Many Malawians have taken to social media to applaud Apostle Kawinga’s generosity and hard work.
One person writing on Facebook described him as a self-made entrepreneur who rose from selling clothes from his car boot in 2009 to establishing a successful hardware business before venturing into ministry.
“He has prospered through hard work and continues to share his blessings with people across Malawi,” the post reads.
“His support cuts across political and social lines — he helps everyone.”
Through Salvation for All Ministries International, Apostle Kawinga remains committed to feeding the hungry, empowering farmers, and preaching the message of hope — earning him recognition as one of Malawi’s most compassionate faith and business leaders.
