This was the other thirty pound common from my last session which fell to a mix of Mainline Cell, pellets and Smart Liquids with rigs made from a few items on test from Trakker. It was truly a lucky over night trip landing two thirty pound commons at this time of year. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to land more as the true winter sets in. Good luck folks. 👌

Early morning wake up call this last week with this 34lb 4oz common. With a frosty ground she was lifted for the camera and returned none the wiser. As for me it was back to bed. 💪🏻

I’ve had a little tidy up of my very old and faithful Trangia kettle which I’ve had now since the nineties. She needed a little scrub and a new handle on the lid. So in true carp angler style I made one and now she can continue boiling water for another 30years. 👏

Another night shot in the rain from the other week and another thirty. The lake really does hold loads and loads of thirties now and it’s turned into something special. Like the last post falling to 10mm Mainline Baits Cell, Corn and house pellets with matching Pop-Ups.

Rig: Hinge-Stiff rigs made from Trakker Terminal Tackle and a new line that’s under test.💪🏻

This lovely 33lb common was part of a thirty treble last week when all three rods went during a wet and windy few hours. This one was the last and thankfully it wasn’t raining. A spread of Mainline ISO Fish boilies with a single Hinge-Stiff rig made from Trakker TT loaded with a matching pop-up was the tactic. Love it. 😁

It was a very wet night last night and it was one of those nights when you hoped you wouldn’t get a take. Well that wish went out of the window with two takes during heavy rain. Trying to put chesties and a waterproof coat on at the same time as playing a hard fighting carp is sometimes comical but I would say, pure art! lol. Finally I got her safely in and my thought went to photos and how is that possible in this rain. Self takes in the rain isn’t the one but having a Tempest is the perfect camera and light cover. 👍

The scales said 36lb 4oz and with photos taken she went back happy.

Bait wise, 10mm Mainline Cell, Corn and house pellets with matching Pop-Ups did the trick.

Managed to sneak in 24hours on Monday to test a few items so me and the pooch arrived to an angler free lake and decided a middle of the lake approach was needed. After emptying half a bucket of Cell 10mm Boilies, pellets and corn - three matching hookbaits were dispatched to the spot. The following morning after observing a couple of shows this 35lb 12oz mirror made its appearance. Quick photo and pack and we were back home editing. Happy days. 👊🏻

I do love a big common probably due to my early days fishing Pool Hall and Patshull Church Pool. This 34lber came during my latest trip to a solid PVA bag filled with Mainline Spod&PVA Pellet Mix with an ISO Fish hookbait and Trakker end tackle making up the rig. Love it. 👍
