US customers - please read...

From today The Donald has hit the UK with tariffs - meaning there is now a 10% charge on most products from the UK going into the US. This includes the cost of the postage! The Royal Mail (who we use for shipping) only informed us two days ago and have stated that these taxes will be charged back to us directly by them, so we are liable to collect this 10% directly from the customer.

I have reached out to Shopify (who hosts our site) and they are unaware of a workaround. Discogs have messaged to say vinyl could be shipped under "Informational Materials: phonograph (vinyl) record” and be void of the tax. But Royal Mail doesn't agree with them. So today I have to call HMRC to see if Discogs are correct.

So for the time being I need to pause sales into the US via the website whilst we try and understand what this all means. I don't want to be charging anyone if I have to. A bit of thinking is required here. BUT for the time being - all US customers who wish to place an order please email me directly to place an order - [email protected] - and I will ship via a courier instead as I can get an exact price quote for that via FedEx/UPS rather than have to make random guesses via Royal Mail.

I apologise for this but I am on the case and will hopefully have another update for you soon.

This is the other Enormous Mouse release we are hoping to repress if we can get to 100 pre-sales. Release 006 on the label and originally out in 2006. Featuring Stu & Nee alongside Nervous & Anxious and also Darkus. If you support the bundle option on Friday then you will also receive a free slipmat, some stickers and also the remix WAVs from 005.

I feel a pre-sale is brewing!

For the past 7 years, we’ve kept our heavyweight vinyl and UK postage prices exactly the same – even as the cost of making and sending records has crept up year after year. We could have cut corners, switched to lighter vinyl, or compromised on quality… but that’s never been who we are. Every record we press is made to last, with the quality you’ve trusted us for since day one.

The truth is, costs have now risen to the point where it’s hard to keep absorbing them and still give our artists the fair return they deserve. So, from August 29th, we’ll be making a small increase – just 50p more for heavyweight/coloured vinyl and 50p more for UK base postage.

It’s not a big change, but we wanted to be completely open with you before it happens. Your support over these years has meant more than we can put into words – you’re the reason we’re still here, still pressing records, and still loving what we do.
