Supporting veterans who are finding it difficult to make their way in civilian life who are in financial difficulty throughout the UK. We
offer an internet based veteran’s forum that seeks to establish contact with as many serving and ex-forces personnel as possible. We aim to
give our members and supporters purpose through common friendship and a support mechanism with the purpose of helping others to
help themselves. Although we are AFB Members and Charity Riders we do not exclude anyone from joining our forum and we offer a
clear grant policy for those in need of our charity grants. We have successfully located and integrated many troubled ex-service personnel
who are either mentally or physically scarred due to operational service. We encourage them to join us at events and give them a sense of
purpose through a common bond and fund raising activities. Fundraising
The AFBVC operates across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Our charity is divided into separate regions, with each area having a designated rep to liaise with public, organisations and volunteers. Each area will engage in their own fundraising and social activities. Throughout the nation, we have attended Armed Forces Day, Craft Fairs, Bike Nights, Rallies, and other events. You may even see us at your local Supermarket collecting funds. If you would like to know more about our Charity, like to get involved or to request our attendance at your event, please contact your local rep. National Events
Every year on the third weekend in July, motorcyclists from the Armed Forces Bikers and their supporters take part in the AFB 500 Charity Challenge Weekend which is aimed at raising funds for veterans and their dependants in charitable need through any number of national, regional, group or individual events. You can organise a motorcycle ride, run, walk, swim or anything with 500 as a theme. You can just aim to raise £500 or more, whatever you like, as long as you stay safe and don't break the law. We have 3 other national events that are held by members of the AFBVC that raise funds for the charity.
- ROAR, first weekend of June which is held in a different region of the UK each year.
- Boyo Bash, second weekend of August which is held in West Wales.
- Dawlish Bike and Trike show, first Sunday in September which is held in Dawlish.
