Hello! Ive been a bit quiet on here because I basically took the summer off and had a brilliant few weeks.

I feel like I've had a proper break. I've taken the girls on holiday, spent some time at home, caught up with friends and family and read a lot! The cat has just about forgiven me for going away so much.

But when I'm not in cheesy bars in Soho and drinking cocktails out of tea cups, I’m a Pinterest strategist and consultant. I specialize in helping non-Pinterest typical businesses become more Pinteresting!

This year I’ve been taking more opportunities and putting myself out there a lot more and already have my next speaking opportunity booked in for next month.

I’ve covered a lot of ground in August!

Started off with a fab night out with some of my oldest friends

Found a new brunch spot at Hokka Brasserie

Spent a fab week in Corfu with my girls. Stayed at Divani Corfu Palace, got a lot of sun, ate my body weight in feta and read a lot!

Then a quick trip home with an overnight in Liverpool on the way back

My youngest went to Reading and came back very wet, my eldest got amazing A level results and we’re now starting the uni prep. And the cat is relieved to have us home.

Now back to reality because September is going to be mental!

Nobody wants to think about the "C" word before they have to, although I know of a few people who think about it all year long!

But if you have a product or a service-based business then you'll need to start thinking about your Christmas marketing now!

If you search Trends on Pinterest then you'll see that Pinners are searching for Christmas-related ideas from July. And the searches only get more frequent from now until the day itself.

Pinners are planners and they start thinking about their projects in advance. And on Pinterest, your content has a much longer shelf life; 16 weeks, in fact, compared to social media platforms.

Pinterest wants people to visit your website and it doesn't shame you for wanting it to sell, quite the opposite in fact. So why not start thinking about your Christmas marketing now!

Yesterday I pushed myself out or my comfort zone and gave my first in-person talk on how to make your business Pinteresting. It was only a small group but it’s a start! Sadly the heat put people off venturing into London.

Everyone was enthusiastic and asked great questions. I’ve never been interested in being a speaker before but I understand how many opportunities it can lead to so maybe this is just the start!
