It’s Get to Know Your Customers Day and this clip shows the importance of assessing your customer.

Dawn French plays Clair, a customer in need. The rep she’s speaking to is efficient and polite, but completely misses the point. Yes, she has the facts, but she hasn’t quite read the customer.

It’s a reminder that knowing your stuff is only half the job. Knowing your customer is the rest.

Cyber security warnings, reality TV wisdom, Taskmaster chaos, and... dogs. Just your average day at the CIPD Festival of Work 2025 🌀

Earlier this month, we roamed the buzzing halls — one moment deep in conversation by the L&D stage, the next trying (and failing?) to complete a Taskmaster challenge judged by the one and only Alex Horne

Jamie Laing gave us a masterclass in resilience and vulnerability (yes, it is possible to be both tough and soft), while Sarah Armstrong-Smith reminded us our cyber habits could use a serious upgrade.

Also, the dogs at the Wellbeing Corner? Game-changers.

We caught up with clients, met loads of brilliant new people, and left full of ideas (and probably a few too many freebies).
