LEAVE IT OUT DAY WELLING

A fantastic community initiative promoting environmental sustainability.

One person’s trash is another one’s treasure. Get ready for the next 'Leave It Out' day in Welling and anywhere else within Bexley Borough.
Date: 8th June 2025
Time: 10:00am - 5:00pm

If you have stuff that you no longer want, but you think it's too good for the tip, leave it out on your drive and people who need it can pick it up.

If you would like to participate by leaving stuff out, please submit your postcode on the form, using the link below and a pin will be put in the map to help people see which roads are taking part.

CENTRAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIANS IN THE UK IS 20!

The Central Association of Nigerians in the United Kingdom (CANUK) is celebrating its 20th anniversary in London.

CANUK was formed by the Nigeria High Commission in the United Kingdom in 2005, in recognition of a need to unite the various Nigerian groups under one umbrella organisation.

The former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, His Excellency Dr Christopher Kolade C O N was CANUK's founding patron. Past CANUK chairmen are Dr Mark Abani, Prince Bimbo Roberts Folayan, Mr Babatunde Loye and Dr Boma Douglas. While the current chairman is Hon. Ayo Akinfe.

CANUK's current vice chair, Flora Njoku stated "In 20 years of its existence, CANUK has managed to spread its tentacles far and wide, ensuring every nook and cranny of the country is represented and every part of Nigeria has representation too."

This milestone celebration is themed: 'CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF AMAZING COMMUNITY ACHIEVEMENTS'
