CROSS COUNTIES RADIO MAKING WAVES AT THE LUTTERWORTH LEISURE CENTRE OPEN DAY THIS SATURDAY! 💜

Come and say hi to the Cross Counties Radio team. We'll be broadcasting live from the Family Open Day. 🎤

Enjoy activities for the whole family, including family swims, pool inflatable fun, gym sessions with live DJ, and Les Mills master trainer-led classes (be sure to book in advance). 🎶

NIGHTTIME HEROES - SHINING A SPOTLIGHT ON CCR'S VOLUNTEERS 💜

Shoutout to our committed volunteers as we recognise the the importance of overnight broadcasts for the workers and visitors of Magna Park, where Europe’s largest dedicated logistics and distribution park, never sleeps. Radio plays a vital role in keeping those working or driving into the park informed and entertained, and the volunteers that are responsible for this are Dutch, Lucas and Sam as they play a crucial role by presenting the early shifts. As with all our team, each member has their unique reason/s for volunteering. Elander's role as a volunteer is also crucial to Cross Counties Radio ensuring continuity and reliability by stepping in to cover important radio shows when mainstream presenters are unavailable due to illness or have holiday commitments.

EVENING EXCELLENCE - CCR'S VOLUNTEER POWER 💜

It's natural to feel a sense of fulfillment when lending a hand. Volunteering not only allows you to acquire valuable skills and experiences, but also boosts your confidence. That's why we're taking a moment to acknowledge the dedication of our volunteers at Cross Counties Radio, as well as the countless individuals across the UK who volunteer in various capacities. The 8pm - 10pm slot on the airwaves provides our team with an opportunity to contribute to community radio, even after a busy day at work or college, demonstrating their unwavering dedication. Simon, Mike, Charlotte, Jacob, and Ben are your weekday evening DJs on the station, each bringing their unique broadcasting styles to your listening device. Who knows, they might just inspire you to give it a try yourself – We want to give them all a massive pat on the back!

CELEBRATING VOLUNTEER’S WEEK WITH OUR MORNING CREW 💜

We are recognising Volunteers Week across the UK and as Cross Counties Radio is fuelled by volunteers, today we’re giving a big shoutout to our members, Terry and John F who both contribute to the weekday morning broadcasts on the airwaves. Terry also kicks off Sports Saturdays with live updates from the sporting world as they happen, bringing score updates from local, regional, and national games every Saturday afternoon. The Sports Team also report live from Leicester Tigers and Northampton Saints games, with our volunteer Rugby Reporters, John, Chris, and Danny.

Volunteers' Week is all about celebrating the incredible efforts of volunteers in communities across the UK.

At Cross Counties Radio, we're driven by our volunteers! Our dedicated CCR family of volunteers bring radio to your FM radios, Alexas, Google devices, and PCs 24/7. CCR volunteers are not just the presenters you hear; they are also team members handling admin tasks, our social media, the finances, troubleshooting engineering issues, and representing us at community events.

This week, we're giving a big shoutout to our incredible team and all the amazing volunteers who make a difference in our communities and society as a whole!

During this special week, some of our members will share why volunteering means so much to them. Starting us off, we shine the spotlight on Ellis and Darren as they tell us why they are proud volunteers.
