September 25 issue Railway Bylines on sale www.guidelinepublications.co.uk and or Haev hte next issue delivered to your door 12 issues from £60
Railway Bylines, now in its 30th year, focuses on the backwaters of our railway system, bringing to life long-gone industrial systems, country branches, narrow gauge and mineral lines. With a wide-ranging editorial remit the magazine covers the rolling stock, buildings and infrastructure, and while its content is largely focussed on pre-1970s subjects, material is planned and programmed for its interest and rarity and frequently strays outside these parameters.

September 25 issue British Railways Illustrated on sale and or Never miss an issue delivered to your door 12 isues from £60.00
'BRILL', British Railways Illustrated focuses on the nationalised and early modernisation era of British Railways from 1948 to the 1970s, although any aspect of vintage railway operations is grist to the mill as long as it is well-researched and written. The camera, we are told, never lies, but it can be 'economical with the truth, so BRILL's remarkable team of contributors paint a bigger picture, with extended and informed captions bringing to life the classic black and white photography that constitutes the bulk of its content. Featuring a colour cover, 56 pages of text and, typically, 60-70 high quality black and white images, most issues include maps and plans/diagrams where appropriate. 'History with a good helping of nostalgia' is its hallmark with some humour thrown in.

The star lot of a local auction in Devon last winter for steam enthusiasts was the 1926 Tasker B2 roller no. 1926. It has stayed in the South West and we were lucky to be invited to see her first steaming a week later.

Issue 143 Narrow Gauge & Industrial Modelling Review on sale now www.guidelinepublications.co.uk
We lead with another of Dan Quine's meticulously researched articles into the horse-worked Galltymoelfre Tramway, coupled with Sydney Leleux's prototype photos and proposals for modelling horse haulage.
Although formulated some 50 years ago the approach still holds merit, although modern technology and automation may provide further solutions.
We include two updates on long-term projects from John Elliott and David John on their respective empires. With more of Stuart Baker's superbly researched drawings and other equally fine articles, we hope this issue will give something for everyone.
Hopefully something of interest to all our readers. It remains a privilege to present all of this superb material in this wonderful magazine of ours.
As always we wish you all the very best with your health, families, hobbies and interests.
