Our Leicestershire Building Control Partnership team has two vacancies:
🖥️ Building Safety Levy Officer
🖱️ Building Control Technical Administrator

No previous experience in building control or specialist technical knowledge is necessary. Full support will be provided, you just need a willingness to learn and a commitment to delivering excellent service.

Both are mainly administrative and coordination roles that would suit someone who enjoys organisation, accuracy, problem-solving and working with people.

Hours: 37 per week

I am guessing lots of you were stuck in the traffic again today.
It was nothing short of dire. So I have had a look at One Network and pulled up some bits that might make our journeys a little more arduous over the next two weeks...

Leicester Lane

Temporary traffic lights until 11th September for BT works. At the junction opposite the Hub. Hopefully the current closure will lift tomorrow at some point.

Enderby Road (near the tip)

Temporary lights until 6th September

Blaby Bypass
(First roundabout as you come from Enderby) They are replacing the lights.
Temporary lights 7 - 18 September

Station road Littlethorpe
Closed Sunday 6th one day

Broughton Astley
Station road closed until 4th October

Broughton Lane
Water works (starting to sound like a monopoly board)closed until 14th September

Lutterworth Road
There was planned resurfacing from next week but this seems to have moved due to the Dunton Basset closure. The diversions will have a knock on to surrounding areas

Roads, traffic lights, the network under our roads (water, waste, internet etc) all needa to be maintained and sometimes there is an emergency we can't factor in.

I agree with Leicester Lane out of action other work should have waited but sometimes needs must.

Please remember kindness on the roads, we all have somewhere to be and taking a couple of minutes longer and driving safe is better than not arriving at all.
