I ran Brighton Marathon yesterday! 🏃♀️
I hand on heart never thought I could ever run such a distance, but I did!
Putting in the right training with support from incredible friends and family who always believed I could do it was what got me through all the training and the actual day itself.
Fundraising for has been a huge part of that too. Wolo means a lot to me and a huge amount to other people too, as they are currently supporting over 200 families across Sussex affected by cancer.
and thank you for everything you do. You really are the unsung heroes in all of this and the community you have built since the charity launched five years ago is INCREDIBLE💫 💛
I’ve made all three of my girls promise that if they ever wanted to run a marathon, not to leave it until they’re nearly 50 to do their first. In the end my mindset was strong, but the body (hips, knees) hurt a lot.
The memory of all three of my girls running the final 100m with me over the finish line will be something I will bottle up in my memory bank forever. (Video of this is in the carousel above) 😭 😍
I will forever be grateful to my gorgeous friends and family who appeared at the right time along the course to cheer me on and even run some of it with me. It meant the world to me. THANK YOU 🙏
And now I’m lying in bed, wondering how on earth I’m going to get out of it, but every ache and pain was 💯 worth it. 🫶 ☀️
