- American designer August Ostrow who is driven by material exploration transforms the circuit board into both a combined shade and light source

Cascade 🏮

- A dynamic pendant light inspired by Kengai bonsai trees where branches of a tree are trained to grow downwards
- Kengai is the Japanese word for cascade
- Made from locally sourced wood, kozo, paper and rattan
- Kawabi is a New York based studio practice of Aaron and Irisa Na-Chan Kawabi. Their work is inspired by their spiritual and aesthetic connection to the East.

Illuminated drones & iconic landmarks 🏛️

- This project uses drone technology to imagine what famous buildings would look like if restored or finished
- The Colosseum in Rome and Gaudí’s Sagrada Familia in Barcelona are among the life-size artworks completed so far
- When Notre Dam burnt down, Studio Drift started to think about rebuilding it with light to show the world what architecture looked like in the past
- The technology can also be used to help architects visualise the impact a new building may have on a cityscape

- 24 ultra-thin wooden sheets are set into milled channels allowing the light to softly scatter through the grain
- The body of the lamp glows whilst the LED lamp head provides directional light
