📅 31st August 1997 – Oasis were unstoppable. Their third album Be Here Now went straight to No.1 on the UK album chart – selling over a million copies on the very first day of release. 🤯🔥

At the peak of their fame, the Gallagher brothers and co. smashed records, with Be Here Now becoming the fastest-selling album in UK history at the time. An era-defining moment for Britpop and one that cemented Oasis as one of the biggest bands of the 90s. 🎸🇬🇧

📅 30th August 2024 – A huge milestone in music history!
Sabrina Carpenter became the first female artist (and only the third overall) to hold No.1 on both the UK singles and albums charts at the same time 🙌.

Her single “Taste” and album Short ’n Sweet topped the charts together, making pop history. And if that wasn’t enough, when Taste debuted at No.2 on the US Hot 100, Sabrina matched a record held only by The Beatles – becoming the first act since them to land their first three top-five hits within a single week. 🚀🎤

On 24th August 1985, Huey Lewis and the News hit the top of the singles chart with “The Power of Love” – kicking off a two-week run at No.1. 🔥

The track became an instant classic, not only for its chart success but also for being the standout theme from the blockbuster film Back to the Future. 🚗⚡ Marty McFly and that DeLorean helped turn it into one of the most iconic songs of the ‘80s!
