Being a proper retro DJ means you need to acquire those 7" singles, and we put in quite a bit of leg-work to find some good good discs: Helen and I had a heck of a weekend hunting records along the south coast in Brighton, Hove and Hastings to dig out some absolute bangers to play at future Roadshows, plus some oddballs and stinkers. Even a couple of outfits for upcoming gigs!

Fab times at Courthouse Record Shop, Beat The Clock - Vinyl, Tapes and CDs, Rarekind Records and tons more we can't find on FB 😘

It’s the Rocky Horror Show’s 50th anniversary today, and it was a real surprise discovering this 7” while out disc-hunting! It’s a disco version of “Touch-A Touch-A Touch Me”, this particular version issued in Japan and sung by Belinda Sinclair who took over the role of Janet in the original stage production when Julie Covington was injured. Sinclair also featured on the original cast recording.

We’re enjoying spinning it in our hotel room, alongside the rest of the day’s haul!

HEY VENUES! The diary's starting to fill up for 2026, but there's still plenty of this year left to go!

I've got some dates still open - most notably Hallowe'en, a couple of Saturdays in November, plenty of Sunday afternoons and a few dates around the Christmas period... so if you'd like me to bring a disco with a difference to your West Yorkshire venue then give me a shout 😘

ARE WE READY TO GET DOWWWWWWWN? 💃🏼🪩🕺🏼

Tomorrow (Sun 10 Aug) is WAKEFIELD COMMUNITY PRIDE, and I'm mad chuffed to be spinning some classics at WX Wakefield from 1pm onwards!

Expect bangers and bops from Frankie to Bronski, Abba to Cher, Freddie to Kylie, and loads in-between - plus a return of the Eurovision breakdown which was so popular at the last Pride Disco! Strut your moves on the dancefloor or just chill out on the sofas with a drink.

I am TERRIFICALLY pleased to be making a return to WX Wakefield this coming Sunday 10 August for Wakefield Community Pride, hosting an afternoon disco CHOCK FULL of q***r classics, Eurovision bops and absolute stone cold disco bangers 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Needle goes down at 1pm - get up for a boogie or just chill on the sofas with a drink and take in the vibe. And as always, requests are welcome and the dancefloor is OPEN!

I've got a few new dates coming up including a fabulous afternoon disco at WX Wakefield on Sunday 10 August as part of Wakefield Community Pride. It'll be chock-full of retro Pride classics, disco bangers and Eurovision bops (a personal fave, doing those!) 🪩

Then I'm back at The Prince of Purston on 23rd August for SUMMER LOVIN', a fabulous Bank Holiday Saturday party. It usually heads into 90s and 00s at this venue, so expect some of that good good skate punk! 🛹

In the midst of all of this I've got the regular residential at The Red Shed every month. "The Other Mrs R" (as she's known) turns a big birthday number on 11 October so make sure you get that one in your diary if you're a big fan of metal and rock 🤘🏻

Expect more rock, pop, indie, disco, ska, northern soul, cheese and maybe even a bit of Frank Zappa again - it's always a bangin' night. Plus it's Members Day at The Red Shed so there's always a chance of a burger from the bbq if you're early!
