Tonight's reward at the end of the climb to the Adam and Eve Stones on Ilkley Moor - a sky painted in liquid amber and gold, with a fellow hiker finding that perfect moment of solitude against the universe.
There's something almost spiritual about these ancient stones when they're silhouetted against a Yorkshire sunset. The way the light wraps around the edges of the rock formation, the small tree clinging to life at its base, and the human figure - so small against the vastness of sky - all come together in a moment of perfect balance.
Worth every step of the climb to witness nature's nightly masterpiece. The moor falls quiet, the world below continues, but up here, time suspends itself for those willing to make the journey.
