Yesterday James box of smiles supplied Lego for a workshop afternoon . With 3 stations to choose from : build your own - poly bag selection - The vending machine ! It was heartwarming to watch and makes me realise how important afternoons like this are. Lego really is a Big distraction . Thank you for donations to help us make this happen

As hard as today has been we’ve celebrated James 25th birthday by delivering Lego to Epsom Casey ward and the Oak children’s centre Royal Marsden.
Each receiving 25 Lego sets . Cupcakes all round and lots of hugs remembering our young man. With thanks to who donated to our go fund me page we were able to buy 2 lilo and stitch sets and The Vending machine . We rounded the day off with a trip to the cinema “ lilo and Stitch “ it had to be .
Followed by Wing stop chicken ! I think James would approve ❤️🤍💙

Last week was m***i day at the school I work at raising funds for James box of smiles . With huge thanks to staff and parents for their kind donations we raised an incredible £486 .
This will buy lots of Lego sets for future patients either at The Royal Marsden - Epsom hospital - and St George’s.

As always thank you for your support in helping us keep James Box of Smiles going.

You don’t realise the impact of hospital life until you’re in that situation. It becomes your bubble your new life and Drs and nurses are your safety blanket. Hoping for a cure to return to normal life .

For some hospital life can be months on end , juggling home and hospital and siblings. It’s tough .

You hold on to the smallest things and treasure any memories made .

The smallest gifts can make a big difference. And for James “Lego “was his thing.
When I enter the doors of the hospitals James was under with arms full of Lego it brings me comfort knowing I’m going to put a smile on someone’s face .
