Another 70 houses assembled tonight for 14th Wallington Beavers cubs and scouts . What a great bunch of kids .
One was helping me and started to sing “somewhere only we know “ and their favourite carol is silent night 💙 they had no idea how much this meant to me. Music was very much part of James journey he loved to sing and always loved joining in the school choir . Today at work the kids were singing Christmas songs in the playground.. The sound hit me hard 🥲and so many memories of James in his happy place.

Another successful Gingerbread event in memory of James . He would’ve been in his element today .🔔🎅🏻💙 loved hearing the bell 🔔 suit being played 😍
Thank you all so much for supporting us today. The room was bursting with sugar and excitement 😁

Busy day today! Gingerbread baking at school followed by a Lego Christmas drop off at Casey ward Epsom . Always lovely to see the team and a Big hug from Noreen who remembers James .It’s the little things that warm my heart at the impact James had on so many during his journey.

30 Gingerbread houses left 🤩 don’t leave it too late if you’d like to join us .
£10 per house . It’s a fun festive afternoon and suitable for all ages .
You just need to bring your own sweets to decorate I supply the icing . And a box to transport it home .

Back in 2015 while waiting to hear the news from a recent MRI at the Marsden we heard that David walliams was popping in 😃 James was so excited having read most of his books 📚.
“Will we get to see him he said anxiously “ The play room was the busiest I’ve ever seen it. Many kids with their books at the ready for David to sign . James was over the moon to chat with him and even more impressed that he remembered his Grandma who used to teach him swimming at Collingwood school.
Yesterday our dear friends who have the kindest hearts made this happen.
David was signing ✍️ his latest book in London . Matt unfortunately wasn’t able to be there in person but wrote a letter to David asking to sign 2 books .
One for us and one for James box of smiles . He said he remembered meeting James 💙🤩. What a special gift to receive we are so grateful to Matt and Louise 😘😘😘

Today we loaded up 3 trolleys 🛒 with IKEA flat pack gingerbread houses and played Jenga getting them in the car 😄 Thank you IKEA for your amazing donation of 50 houses .
Save the date for James box of smiles Decorate your own gingerbread house.
Sunday 7th Dec at Crusader hall Wallington. £10 per house payment required prior to event . This is probably our most popular event and grows bigger every year. I assemble the houses on an iced board and provide a bag of royal icing. You bring your own sweets and a box to transport it home 😊🎄🎄🎄

Our first donation of snowies are going to the Isle of Wight respite children’s services.

A busy week on the Isle of Wight. There’s always time for Lego ! With two little helpers putting James box of smiles stickers on the box and delivering them to A&E what superstars they are.
And the last delivery to Angela before she retires . I wonder how many children she has looked after during her time. What a special lady.
