Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Vice Emir Pir Zaheerul Hasan Shah, was arrested on Monday for after for inciting violence against Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa.

The arrest was made after a First Information Report (FIR) were lodged in Lahore’s Qila Gujjar Singh police station on behalf of Station House Officer (SHO) Hammad Hussain.

The case has been registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act besides other provisions of law, including spreading religious hatred, sedition, intimidating the higher judiciary, interfering and obstructing statutory duties.

According to the FIR, the suspect threatened and spread hatred against the judiciary during a protest outside the press club.

A Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) leader was remanded on Tuesday in the case of inciting people against the chief justice, while the prime instigator, Pir Zaheerul Hassan Shah, remains at large days after his controversial speech.

Maulana Muhammad Tahir Saifi, who was arrested after Shah’s speech went viral, has been remanded into police custody for seven days.

Saifi was presented before Judge Khalid Arshad of the anti-terrorism court, where the investigating officer played a video of his speech delivered last week. The judge sought confirmation from the TLP leader, asking if this was his speech, to which Saifi replied in affirmative.
