What are you all up to today? Do you switch off completely on Christmas day or do you still have to do a bit of work?

Fortunately, no one wants social media training over Christmas, so it's a great time of year to down tools and spend some uninterrupted time with family and friends.

But we know not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to do this.

Tea drinking Advent Day 17

Today was the Social Flock Christmas Quiz (I’m not one to gloat, but I did surprisingly come away with a few prizes), and so in honour of our flock mascot Baarbara, today’s Mug is of course sheep-themed, and I borrowed my daughter's sheep doorstop for some inspiration (not sure if it’s a Ewe or a Tup 😉).

I’ve been part of the Social Flock since April this year, and the regular content writing and planning sessions have really helped me focus on the message I want to get across (it’s not all about tea and biscuits, I promise, although the advent calendar has allowed me to show a little of my personality).

I’ve learnt new skills from the Social Flock monthly webinars, including how to use Canva to create images for my posts and Edits to create Reels. It’s made business social media less scary and given me a whole new group of business contacts to share with my clients. I get to network with local businesses while creating my social media – I do love a bit of multitasking!

The mug itself found a place in my cupboard because when my daughters were in their Teens, and I would embarrass them in some way, it became my catchphrase to shout out to them: "Love Ewe!" Stretching those two words out nice and long (and maybe quite loud 😉)

Thank ewe all for inviting her to an array of baarilliant events this month, she really has had some warm woolly welcomes.

She's looking forward to a well earned rest this Christmas and can't wait to see ewe all in 2026!

Not only were we very productive and wrote our social media plans for January, but we also finished with...

a fun festive quiz!

Multiple choice of course, because I'm terrible at quizzes, so I like to give everyone a chance!
