Quick screenshot from the multicam sequence of the DrumWise Student Concert 2026 we filmed on Friday at the Maidstone Corn Exchange.

Two shows back to back and 51 young drummers performing across the day - so it was a busy one from the off.

We ran a proper full multicam setup for this.
3 x Canon C70s, Canon R5C, Canon R6 Mark II, plus two DJI Osmo Action 5 cameras and an older Osmo Action mounted on the kick drum for a dedicated pedal angle. Loads of coverage which should give us plenty to play with in the edit.

All cameras are now synced and organised in a multicam sequence and I am about to get stuck into the edit. The plan is usually a first pass where I live cut through the performances to build the structure, then a second pass to refine shot choices and pacing, followed by a final tidy up.

Always genuinely enjoy working with . .o.mitchell has built something really special and the atmosphere at these concerts is always brilliant. It is great seeing so many young musicians getting the chance to perform on a proper stage in front of a crowd.

A little update from us at Matchbox Motion. 🎬

We have been a bit quiet on here recently, but it has been a very busy start to the year behind the scenes. Over the past few weeks we have been working on a mix of new animation projects alongside a range of filming work across events, commercial and promotional campaigns (few photos included).

This week took us out to Germany where we were working with at ProWein. We were filming seminar sessions, capturing event coverage and producing content from the party featuring . We were also on photographer duty throughout the week.

even found himself on the other side of the camera recently, appearing on a podcast with - coming soon.

We have also got Toronto coming up in April with the team and are really looking forward to covering the event there.

Back in the UK, we have been spending time refining our website and reviewing our wider business approach for the year ahead. We are putting a stronger focus this year on brand storytelling, animation and podcast production, working with both new and long term clients.

Back in London yesterday with Causeway for the Future Highways Summit 2026, this time at Kings Place.

A full day conference shoot covering talks and workshops, alongside panels, atmosphere and plenty of natural moments across the event. The sessions had a strong practical focus, with open discussion around how highways teams work day to day and how that continues to evolve, which made for some great moments to capture.

Always good to be back working with the Causeway team and great to see the summit growing year on year.

Big thanks as well to for assisting with the stills on the day and for grabbing some behind the scenes bits for us too, always appreciated.

A bit quiet on the socials lately. but been keeping busy at Matchbox Motion! 🎬🎥🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇫🇷

Here’s a small photo dump of what we’ve been up to the last month or so!

It’s been back to back shoots, a couple of short breaks for both of us, and a lot of time spent either on set, on trains, in the car, or editing at Matchbox HQ in Wateringbury.

All good fun especially visiting Paris again and some of the shoots in Manchester and Birmingham way, the m25, not so much fun...

Big thank you to everyone we’ve worked with over the last few weeks. From filming an aviation jacket being made entirely by hand with , shooting Galeries Lafayette in Paris with , to travelling up and down the country filming physios/chiropractors/podiatrists and Gardens with our good friend of the business Rob Curd (), recording podcasts locally with , and juggling a stack of animation projects and more in between.

Also… worth mentioning, being a Liverpool fan, not sure how much matt enjoyed old Trafford but there we go! - Cheers for booking that particular premier inn Rob…

We had an incredible time filming this year’s Spirits Business Awards at the UnderGlobe in London. 🎥🍹

The team at The Spirits Business always put on a brilliant event and it was great to be asked back again. The venue looked outstanding, the cocktails were spot on and the atmosphere just kept building throughout the night.

(Rob Beckett) hosted the awards and it was great to meet him in person. The room was in good spirits from the start and the energy only got better. The guests even delivered some legendary dancing once the drinks and the music kicked in, which made for some great moments on camera.

Thanks again , really appreciate it and hope the hangovers were not too bad the next day! 😂

Huge thank you to , and for assisting on the night. Could not have asked for a better crew. Everyone worked flat out and the results show it.

For the kit people, we ran our usual setup. Canon C70, R5C and the Sony A7SIII paired with the 24-70 RF, the 24-70 G Master and the 24mm Sigma Art for the video. We also had two R5C bodies along with the R6 and R8 for photos, using the 70-200 and the 24-70 lenses to cover everything from speeches to dancefloor chaos.

🎬 Another great shoot with our friends at Business yesterday - filming a masterclass for at Brunswick House in Vauxhall, London.

A proper afternoon of good whiskey, good chat and a cracking setting - Brunswick House has bags of character and was a dream to film in.

We stuck to our usual setup - the Canon R5C (RF 15-35mm) on the DJI RS4 Pro gimbal, and the C70 (RF 24-70mm + 70-200mm) - with a bit of diffusion and that 21:9 format we’ve been loving lately.

Always great working with the Spirits Business team - thanks for having us along and of course to Leiper’s Fork Distillery for the warm welcome, great to work with you for the first time!
