The Journey around Kawa Karpo takes Ryan up and over no less than five high-passes as he criss-crosses the deep river gorges in China’s northern Yunnan province. The Sacred Mountain of Kawa Karpo 6,740 meters (22,113 ft.) is the highest mountain in the Chinese province of Yunnan. It is located on the border between the Chinese provinces of Yunnan and Tibet. The journey around Kawa Karpo, one of the most sacred peaks in the Tibetan world, will take Ryan to physical and emotional highs and lows that he didn’t know were possible.
