BANDS TO CHECK OUT AT THIS YEARS BURN IT DOWN FESTIVAL

This week marks the highly anticipated return of Burn It Down Festival which takes place in Torquay, Devon. Featuring some of the best UKHC bands this island has to offer and also bringing across some great international and US artists! To me, Burn It Down is showing that the UK can showcase all it's hardcore talent in one place and I am dubbing this the proper UK hardcore mates fest full of new, current and OG artists....

INTERVIEW: HOUR OF REPRISAL

This week we head back to East Anglia to chat with Norwich Straight Edge OG's Hour Of Reprisal who's breakdowns, heavy riffs and nasty vocals have been amping up the scene over the last five years. Hour of Reprisal haven't always had it easy. They have been repping the Norwich scene for years and their early days had fewer venues and less shows in general in their area, so home shows weren't much of a thing for them....

BURNT CHAPTER HEADLINE SIGNATURE BREW IN AN ENTRENCHED X NOSEGRIND COLLABORATION

Signature Brew Haggerston is about to get another heavy arse line up hitting the stage next week. On the 3rd September Brighton based independant promoters Entrenched Promotions are teaming up with Nosegrind Events to host their first show headlined by the capitals own Burnt Chapter. Entrenched Promotions have described themselves as being committed to supporting the growth of the heavy music in the UK and to deliver quality shows with a passion behind them....

REALITY UNFOLDS UNLEASHES FIRST WAVE FOR 2027 WITH HEADLINERS CONTENTION

Following a huge weekend at the start of 2026, Reality Unfolds returns for the fourth time as London's premier fest for hardcore, screamo and extreme metal. Reality Unfolds is back and building up for the biggest year so far, with the first wave of bands for 2027 including Contention, Domain, Mutagenic Host, Kaddish and many more. Contention, the first headliner to be announced, return to New Cross Inn after tearing the room apart for sold-out shows the last couple of summers....

INTERVIEW: BIG SMOKE

The capital has seen a lot of great up and coming bands coming through it's venues in the last couple of years and one of those named after the capitals historic nickname comes Big Smoke. Big Smoke borrow their name from the capitals historic thick clouds of smog through the industrial revolution from the 19th Century. Starting out in 2024 and currently spanning 2 EP's Big Smoke have brought London Hardcore some proper beatdown groove to mosh to....

East Anglia & EAHC has been growing extremely fast in the past couple of years and today we're speaking to the great guys in 2nd Location. Based out of the city of Norwich, 2nd Location are on top of where the growth in the EAHC scene is.
