I’m leaving colourful, vibrant London today to visit my parents on the coast and I thought it would be nice to take a selection of exotic fruits from Ridley Road market as a gift! I bought green papaya, a custard apple, a soursop, two mangoes, 3 yellow passion fruits and some gineps (also known as Spanish Limes, even though they’re a relative of lychees!)

Solo parenting 3 kids on holiday is kinda hardcore. We’ve done all the things, every day. Being out and about in London brings me so much joy, and sharing it with the girls who are Londoners born and bred yet don’t really know it because of young lives lived abroad in Singapore and France. Uber Eats is so exciting for them, they can taste the world from our hotel room. I find it hilarious, but it’s also kinda cool. Anyhoo, off to my parents and Mersea Island tomorrow for some calm beach vibes. London over and out. 🫶🏻

The Dalston Curve Garden is a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of Dalston. It takes you out of the hustle and bustle of city living and provides a haven of wilderness. When the girls were small I used to take them there all the time and it was lovely to revisit.

This morning Saff and I went to Ridley Road Market. It is so special to me after the “Dalston years” and I was super happy to share it with Saff. Market Days are what you make of them and I have always been a market Queen xx

Drive with me as I head to Le Chat Noir in London for an immersive Parisian cabaret dinner. J’adore playing dress up and I’m wearing a floor length purple pure silk shift dress and a vintage Lola Rose ring I found today in Greenwich Vintage market.

I’ve brought the kids to London and we’re staying in Dalston. The familiar is so comforting for me and because I’m so at ease, the kids are comfortable. Today at the Dalston Local Store I was spoiled with the chilis, sauces, spices and international section. Tavy is always happy in East London!

It’s Wednesday and usually you’d accompany me around the French village market as I purchase all the fresh seasonal produce but today we’re off on our hols to the UK so it’s just a brief wander, the purchase of some croissants and an encounter with an adorable cat!

Massive props to Marie-Louise for the best tax support. And to many others who gave incredible advice and leads to where i needed to find help. You were all wonderful and I’m happy to share that two years of accounts are on the brink of being filed. Tomorrow I’ll head to La Poste with a f*ck ton of paperwork!

Not me just eating half the packet of marshmallow flavoured popcorn in the name of research and so you don’t have to. Did I like it? Nope! Will I eat it all? Yep. Why? Because I don’t like wasting food or money and because it’s weirdly moreish!! 🤣
