Just off the A*5 on the way into Snowdonia national park, I have always seen this ridge and thought i wonder if you can scramble up that. Turns out you can so i challenged myself to do this grade 2 scramble.. 🧗🏻‍♂️

This limestone ridge is a dream of a climb with plenty of purchase points. It’s exposure, intimidating drops and the wild Welsh, coastal weather that can make it tricky.

However, the weather was perfect. The sun hit our side of the mountain face on the way up and the rock was dry and wind minimal.

The views from the top were incredible. Miles of North Wales rugged coast line, dominated the opposite view. The pictures really dont do this any justice it was an amazing experience 🤩🙌🏼

📍HODGE CLOSE QUARRY, Coniston, Lake District, LA21 8DJ 🪨

Burrowed a few miles north of Coniston in the Lake District lies Hodge Close Quarry one of several historic and remote slate workings in the Tilberthwaite Valley.

Hailed as Britain’s scariest cave this quarry particularly stands out for its spooky skull-shaped cavern which can be seen through the reflection of Hodge Close’s glistening water.

Popular among abseilers, divers and adventurous ramblers alike, Hodge Close Quarry has also started to attract a new demographic of visitors after it was recently used as a filming location for Netlfix’s medieval fantasy hit ‘The Witcher’.

Parking is free but spots are limited so be wise when choosing visiting times!

Do you want breathtaking views and a rewarding experience at the top. This is a short steep incline but well worth it for the views at the top 🙌🏼

Overlooking the north end of Thirlmere, Raven Crag is one of the best walks in all the Lake District. It is a unique fell with a dramatic rock face, tall conifer plantation tree lines, a boardwalk to the summit and the most incredible view of Thirlmere Reservoir and Hellvelyn.

LUD’S CHURCH, Buxton, SK17 0SU📍

Lud’s Church is a deep, moss-covered chasm full of history, myths and dark green wherever you look; and to walk down its stone steps deep into the cleft is to escape into another world…

Close to the Roaches in Leek and through Staffordshire’s Back Forest, is Lud’s Church. An 18 metre deep chasm created in the Roaches’ gritstone caused by a giant landslip, which over the ages has been covered from top to bottom in vibrant moss. This makes the entire chasm outstanding to walk through, the dampness, the deep green colour has suddenly replaced the bright and expansive landscape of the Roaches, and it almost seems unbelievable. It doesn’t take long to explore the chasm, as it is only 100 metres long, but you could spend forever studying every nook and cranny- each as unique as each other.

The route i done was the Gradbach and Lud’s church circular which is a short and easy route the last picture in my post is the route i took on 🙌🏼
