We are delighted to share a making of promo of Experiment! the immersive motion-base ride we produced the preshow and ride content for at Hopetown Darlington.

Created in collaboration with lead consultants PLB Projects Ltd, Darlington Borough Council, and AV & Lighting hardware specialists FusionLX together, we have crafted an innovative and immersive digital experience that brings the birth of the modern railway to life.

Experiment! was nominated for a prestigious Museums + Heritage - leading sector magazine and events Awards in the ‘Best Use of Digital, UK’ category 2025. Tickets are on sale now at Hopetown Darlington.

Fingers crossed for the team tonight at Museums + Heritage - leading sector magazine and events Awards at the Hilton Park Lane, London!

We’re honoured to be nominated in the 'Best Use of Digital, UK' category for our immersive motion-base experience EXPERIMENT! at Hopetown Darlington.

Created in collaboration with lead consultants PLB Projects Ltd, Darlington Borough Council, and AV & Lighting hardware specialists FusionLX, this marks Figment’s second consecutive nomination in this category - following last year’s win for Dive The Mary Rose 4D.

The Museums + Heritage Show at Olympia London, will close with the highly anticipated awards ceremony celebrating creativity and innovation tomorrow evening.

Saturday marked the exciting reawakening of the Grade I listed Maison Dieu Dover and we were thrilled to be part of it.

In collaboration with our fantastic partners; Designmap , FusionLX and The Workhaus Figment Productions produced and delivered multiple interactive touchscreens, documentary films and immersive audio soundscapes for this iconic site.

Funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Dover District Council, The Dover Society and The Wolfson Foundation, the £10 million heritage and cultural regeneration project is a significant milestone in preserving and celebrating Dover’s rich history.

Drawing on our in-house expertise in design, 3D modelling, film editing and software development, we’ve created dynamic and immersive content that brings the Maison Dieu’s remarkable 800-year history vividly to life for visitors of all ages!

We’re thrilled to announce that Experiment!, the immersive experience ride inside North Road Station Museum, has been shortlisted for the 'Best Use of Digital UK' Award at the Museum and Heritage Awards 🎉

The 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 awards celebrate the very best in the world of museums, galleries, and cultural and heritage visitor attractions.

The awards will take place in central London on Thursday 15 May 2025. Experiment! is up against digital projects at the Royal Armouries, Natural History Museum, London Museum and Perth Museum.

A fantastic review from The Northern Echo about our latest immersive experience, Experiment! the time-travel motion base ride at Hopetown Darlington. Experiment! brings the story of passenger railways to life, captivating visitors of all ages, with a time travel motion-base adventure that celebrates the world's first passenger journey.

Three seasonal ride experiences were produced and this month, the Christmas version will be playing at Ho-ho-Hopetown.

Congratulations to the team at Hopetown Darlington who won the prestigious North East Culture Award for Best Museum or Cultural Venue last night!

Figment Productions, in partnership with project lead consultants PLB Projects Ltd LTD designed 25 family-friendly and accessible interactive exhibits celebrating the birthplace of passenger railways, both inside the museum and throughout the Hopetown site.

Hopetown Darlington - a £35 million rail heritage visitor attraction has officially opened today in Darlington. The visitor feedback and press so far have been fantastic!

Figment Productions, in partnership with project lead consultants PLB Projects Ltd (www.plbltd.com), created over 30 multimedia interactives. From immersive soundscapes, family-friendly touchscreens, to character Magic Mirror photo opportunities. Hopetown Darlington delves into the rich history of passenger railways in it's original birthplace nearly 200 years ago.

Our favourites? The large-scale 'Made In Darlington' projections of locomotives in the Goods Shed and the Augmented Reality Character APP we created, where visitors can meet historical figures around the Hopetown Darlington site.
