Why don’t you go and study Nursing? You could have studied Medicine!” 🩺

Have you ever wondered why people say this?

Why is Nursing sometimes presented as the option you choose only when you couldn’t get into Medicine?

If someone has the grades to study Medicine, why shouldn’t they choose Nursing because that is what they genuinely want to do?

Nursing is not a “backup plan.”
It is not a lesser profession.
And becoming a nurse is not failing to become a doctor.

Nurses have their own specialised knowledge, skills, responsibilities and professional roles. They are essential to patient care and healthcare delivery.

Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Science and other health professions are different careers — not a ladder of who is more important.

So instead of asking someone,
“Why are you doing Nursing when you could have done Medicine?”

Maybe ask:

“Is Nursing what you actually want to do?”

Because the best career isn’t necessarily the one society considers the most prestigious.

Sometimes, the right career is simply the one that fits your passion, purpose and strengths. ❤️🩺

Guide them, but let them choose their own path.
You can care without controlling. 💭

ARE YOU HAVING HARD DAYS AS A STUDENT NURSE? 💔📚

Some days, nursing school feels like “I can do this!” 😌💪
And other days, it feels like “Maybe this profession chose me by mistake.” 😭😂

The long lectures.
The endless care plans.
The sleepless nights.
The exams you studied so hard for but still didn’t understand. 🥲
The clinicals where you’re scared of making a mistake.
The pressure to know everything while you’re still learning.

And sometimes, you smile in class while secretly wondering, “Am I really good enough to become a nurse?” 🥺

If that’s you, remember this:

You are still learning.
❤️ You are allowed to struggle.
🩺 You don’t have to know everything today.
💪 A difficult day does not mean you’re a bad student nurse.
✨ Progress can be slow and still be progress.

One day, the skills that scare you today will become second nature….
The topics that confuse you will eventually make sense….
And the patient you care for may one day remind you exactly why you started. ❤️

Dear fellow Nurses are you feeling the Nursing Shortage Pressure?

Nurses are being asked to do MORE with LESS and it's not sustainable.
The nursing shortage in 2026 has become more visible and more urgent hospitals are under pressure as demand for care rises faster than the supply of qualified nurses.
What nurses can do RIGHT NOW:

✅ Know your market value and advocate for better pay
✅ Consider travel nursing or PRN work for flexibility and higher pay
✅ Support nursing students mentor the next generation
The system needs fixing from the top. But until then, protect yourself. 💪

Share this with every nurse you know.

A simple study day might look like this:

🕘 30 minutes: Review a content topic
🕙 60 minutes: Complete practice questions
🕚 45 minutes: Review rationales
🕛 30 minutes: Study medications or lab values
🕐 15 minutes: Summarize what you learned

Remember, the best NCLEX schedule is not the most intense one,it’s the one you can follow consistently. Small, focused study sessions add up to big progress. 💪🧠

✨ Plan your time. Practice with purpose. Review your rationales. Trust your preparation.

You don’t have to study perfectly you just have to keep moving forward. 🩷🩺
