Iâm very happy to share some news that feels particularly special. Pershore Patty has been named a double award winner in the SME News Midlands Enterprise Awards 2026, receiving:
đ Best Regional Food & Drink Platform 2026
đ Community Engagement Excellence Award 2026
When I started Pershore Patty back in 2017, it was simply somewhere to share the places I enjoyed eating and drinking. I certainly didnât imagine that, nine years later, it would have developed into the platform and community it is today, working with independent restaurants, pubs, cafĂŠs, producers and hospitality businesses across Worcestershire and beyond.
The first award means a great deal because it recognises Pershore Patty as a regional food and drink platform, which is very much how I see what I do today. It has grown far beyond simply sharing where Iâve eaten. Thereâs the Food & Drink Directory, editorial features, hospitality news, events, new openings, interviews and industry insight, alongside the day-to-day work of giving local businesses another platform through which to tell their stories.
But I think the Community Engagement Excellence Award might mean even more to me.
The community around Pershore Patty has always been at the heart of it. Every comment, recommendation, share and conversation helps independent businesses reach more people, while the discussions that take place across the website, social channels and groups have created something I could never have built on my own.
These awards are given on merit, with SME News recognising businesses for their work, achievements and contribution to their industries and communities. To receive two awards in the same year is something Iâm incredibly proud of.
So, a very big thank you to everyone who follows Pershore Patty, reads the features, joins in with conversations, recommends places to visit and supports the businesses I share. And, of course, thank you to all of the hospitality businesses, chefs, producers and people behind them who continue to give me so many interesting stories to tell.
Nine years on, I still genuinely enjoy discovering whatâs happening across our local food and drink scene â and thereâs plenty more I want to do with Pershore Patty yet.
đĽ I think this one might call for an Espresso Martini!
